Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Chandigarh or NMIMS Chandigarh is a private institute established in the year 2021 by Governor of Punjab & Administrator Union Territory of Chandigarh. Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Chandigarh helps the students by giving them financial support with loans and credits for the students. The most popular NMIMS scholarship is the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship which is awarded on a need cum basis. The following are the details of this Scholarship:

Central Sector Scheme Scholarship

The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship offers financial support to economically weaker students from General, SC, and ST communities and physically handicapped students. The scholarships are given on the basis of the results of the Senior Secondary Examination. The scholarship is paid for every month's lump sum and the money will be credited directly into the student's bank account.

Available Amount:

INR 1,000 per month at the Graduation level for the first three years of College and University courses and INR 2000 per month at the postgraduate level.

Eligibility:

Applicants must have above 80 percentile in class 10+2 or equivalent and have a family income of less than Rs. 6 lakhs per annum, pursuing any regular courses and not getting any other scholarship are eligible for this scholarship scheme.

How to Avail?

Students who wish to avail NMIMS scholarship must fill out the scholarship applications found on the official website within 10 months of enrolling in the Institute.
All the required documents must be uploaded by the students so that it can be carefully reviewed in order to determine their eligibility.

Likes

Campus is very beautiful with greenery everywhere.
College is not very crowded and also not less crowded.
Fests and programs are also one of the major highlight in this college.

Dislikes

Placement is very low both rate and average package. And also don't expect any internship opportunities in the college.
It has an eighty percent attendance cumpulsary for every subject and every semester.
The environment and teacher are good but it os overhyped because of NMIMS.

Course curriculum and examination in the college

The course curriculum is up to date with all the necessary subjects. It has emphasis on lab and experiments rather than normal classes. Every exam is approximately a month far from each other and you have 25 days holiday for final exams. With all the assignments, experiments, practical, lab and presentation it can be hectic to manage but most students learn how to manage all things.

Companies recruiting from the campus, and average package being offered

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

Fees of the course per year

Tution fees is 120000 Security deposit is 20000 Remaining fees is for dress, and material - 80000. If you opt for hostel Mess food - 80000 And, remaining fee is for hostel(which are sharing). The fees will most likely not change within first three years and can slightly change in fourth year.

Events, clubs and facilities available in the campus

It has very good annual and technical fest and festival with good arrangement with students and teachers also participating. All the books are accessbile is college library and anyone can borrow any book for 15 days. Almost all sports are present with maintained ground and also has swimming pool and few indoor games. There are various clubs that work throughout the year.

Hostel accommodation in the campus

Hostel are very clean with all the amenities required It has all the necessary appliance and enough area to keep all objects. Hostel food is very hygienic and can sometimes feel tasless or repeated. You can rent pg and flat yourself but it will generally cost more with transportation in mind.

Students view on faculties and examination

All facilities are nice and experienced in their field. The college has all the lab with all necessary tools. The faculty to student ratio is something like 40:1. There are three exams in an semester. First two compromising 10 marks. Mtt 1 and mtt 2. And the last one is of 100 marks which is scaled down to 50 marks.

Admission Process of the college

I applied to almost every famous college and exams like vit, iit hyderabad, jee, comedk, wbjee. I got third category in vit and and didn't score well in other exams. The admission process is not very tricky. You just have to submit copy of councelling letter with fees.

Had to give NLAT exam to get admission. I did not avail the reservation benefits. The college has great admission process and no improvement is needed. The application form is explicitly provided on the Narsee monjee institute of management studies official website.

Admission to B.Com and BBA courses is based on the NPAT exam conducted by the institute. For BTech courses, selections are based on NMIMS CET scores. Further, NMIMS Chandigarh admission to BBA LLB and BA LLB courses is based on NLAT exam conducted by NMIMS. Applications for admission can be filled out online through the official website of the University.

You can apply online from the official website of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Chandigarh or NMIMS Chandigarh. NMIMS offers 5 courses at UG level: BCom, BBA, BTech, BA LLB, and BBA LLB. Admission to B.Com and BBA course is based on NPAT exam conducted by the institute. For BTech course, selections are based on NMIMS CET scores. Further, NMIMS Chandigarh admission to BBA LLB and BA LLB courses is based on NLAT exam conducted by NMIMS. Applications for admission can be filled online through official website of University.

The fee per year for the BALLB curse is INR 1.50 Lakhs at the NMIMS, Chandigarh. The candidate should have passed with a Minimum 50% aggregate marks in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination. The admission will be done based on the score obtained in the NMIMS-NLAT.
