Remarks

College management is really good. and very helpful. Be it filling the forms for exams or any other issues they were always very supportive of the students. I still remember when I had gone to take my degree the college staff acted promptly and gave me my degree on time.

Entrance Preview

I did not take any entrance examination. I was admitted through XII marks. I got 90.6% in my XII standard and made it to the list of SGGSCC, Delhi University.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In first year I studied mathematical methods of economics, statistical methods of economics and Principles of Economics. In second year I studies micro economics, macro economics, real algebra and calculus and Indian history. In third year I studied Indian economic development, public economics and econometrics. The curriculum was well developed and made me understand all essential aspects of Economics.

Internships Opportunities

I did my graduation from 2005-2008. so, at that time there was not much demand for interns but today, as I know from juniors many companies come for internship from both corporate fields and academic fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible as the college follows Delhi University Fee structure. The students with physical disabilities shall be exempted from payment of fees, including examination fee and other University fees, except Admission fee, subscription towards Delhi University students' Union and Identity Card fee. B.Com : Rs. 15, 000 / YearB.A : Rs. 25, 000 / YearB.Sc : Rs. 35, 000 / Year - And a nominal fee is charged as Caution Money too.

Hostel Facilities

5

The canteen appears to be large and spacious, but when it comes to the number of people it can seat, it is not as big. Around 30-35 people can sit at a time. There is a CCD Express too thatメs right opposite the canteen, where you can pick up fast food type snacks. The canteen is big & spacious, but the space could have been utilised better. You get snacks, Dosas, Chole bhature, Rajma chawal, Chinese, Kathi Rolls at the canteen, so basically having meals is also not an issue. There is no hostel at SGGSCC but you can easily find PG options, nearby the college for Rs.3, 000-Rs.6, 000 a month including food.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni is very strong. Many of us are in touch via facebook. At this college, studies are inevitable, but you can expect to enjoy all activities and college life to the fullest. Never think twice before taking the college. The seniors were very very supportive. always ready to help with whatever information you could ask for.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is in accordance with the Delhi University exam structure. It is a little hectic when the time come close to the final exams. Otherwise a typical day at college was not that hectic but the teachers make sure that we understand all the concepts in detail and conducts regular test and assignments making sure that we are comfortable when it comes to final exams.

Faculty

5

Faculty was really good. I would specially like to mention Ms. Shelly Verma, Deepa Verma, Ms. Harpeet Kaur, Ms. Rekha Sharma, Ms Kajleen Kaur, Ms. Aradhana Nanda. All were extremely hard working and well versed with their subject. All of them taught really well. We had frequent assignments and tests which were helpful for us. They not only helped us with the curriculum but were a support system in other aspects as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really like Human Geography which let me to opt for this paper. Besides theory papers, we also have practical papers every semester through which we conduct surveys, interviews, research which helps us in preparing for the real world applications as well as further academic pursuits if we want to go in the field of Remote sensing or GIS. I feel that for papers including research or management, we should be showcasing how we can mitigate them or adapt in such scenarios and also make drafts for writing a research for further pursuits. However, as the time is limited it is quite understandable as to why its not conducted. We have two exams in a year and they are quite relevant and easy
