What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the amenities available there like auditorium inside college and big sports ground.
- Professors were friendly and cooperative and helped with subjects and personal probelms too.
- Alongside the subject i was enrolled in other subjects were also included like economics computers etc
Dislikes
- too much politics during election times and chaos during the peak time of it.
- although amenities were there but students were very less encouraged towards it, for example when i wanted to join football team it took me 2 days just to get to know and talk the the right person about it.
Course Curriculum Overview
It DU, so i think for many students it comes down to if you are able to make it to cutt off list. So my decision was based on it. I cleared the cutt off list for english hons so i took it. I wanted to make my way for govt job, so it was all about getting a degree regardless of what subject i was getting. I think curriculum just make you educated enough to get to know but its the college life that make you come face to face with the real world. exams every 6 months i.e every semester i think its good.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly The fee remained the same, it was 6250rs. there was around 500rs extra during admission. my friends who were in different programs had the same fee structure between 6000-7000rs for Bsc etc there are scholarships available to students coming from ews or sc,st and obc catergory.
Campus Life
Campus life was good, during school days i was a little scared and unsure how its gonna be because as we all see in movies and web series i wanted it a little bit like that. wanted to have a group and friends to hang out with. And it all went like that there were fresher parties every year and annual functions and similar acticities like drama clubs used to perform acts in auditorioum so we all used to go there. sports etc were little bit neglected i think, merely we saw any such activities regarding sports. there were diff clubs like drama clubs, dance society and environment runs.
Admission
Like i said earlier it was all about making up to the cutt off list. So my decision was all about it. although i wanted to take Anthropology as it aligned with the current subject im stuying, and why i couldnt make it, because my marks in 12th was low. process was simple, if your marks was enough to clear the cutt off list, just go to that college and apply with your marksheet of 12th. I got 95 marks in english in 12th so it was easy for me to get english hons
Faculty
on an average there were 40 to 50 students in every section or pragramme. and faculty were very friendly Asha mam who taught me European and indian literature was very helpful and good in teaching too. Semester exams after 6 months so every year 2 exams. Exams were average not too easy or difficult. If anyone who just attended the lectures regularly can clear it with good marks
Interview Experience
well it was all good and very informative, even when someone is not getting into it just watching it sure made other students informative. criteria for admission is simple, clear the cutt off or clear the cuet entrance exam and get the admission
Night Life
there was no gym, but canteen food was cheap and good. rarely took lunch from home, always ate in the canteen masala dosa etc. and shared food with friends. hostel facilties were present but not inside the college but in north campus and that was hard to get into. we used to hangout in market just across the street, all sort of small cafeterias is present there. the famous gupta ke parathe. Library is there but books i think not very updated. although if you wanna get books related to your programme that will be available, other than that books are there but not updated
