Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is a bit old school in my opinion. Maybe incorporating modern skills and ACTUALLY teaching them will help. The professors take small tests throughout the semester for the IAs so I think that helps with the prep for the end sem

Fees and Financial Aid

fees is approximately 27,000 rupees/ annum. The fees varies depending on the college and the course in DU but as for my college. It is more or less around this amount only. The examination fee is separate, it is not included in this fee

Campus Life

5

The campus life is very happening, fun and exciting. There is always something going on whether it is by a club/society or a department. In terms of sports, more focus is given to football compared to other sports I think. Otherwise the library is very well built. It is quite accessible and I have been able to find books relevant to my coursework.

Admission

I preferred college name and other variables like placement, campus, crowd etc. over course. I froze my selection in the first round of allocation only because I messed up my preference list and if I would've gone further in the other round, there was a high chance that I would get my preferred course in a not so good ( in terms of other aspects ) college

Faculty

3

The faculty is overall great. The professors are approachable and are willing to help with the doubts. Some are quite strict about the IA and CAs and check them strictly. The professors are great, they try to interconnect the current world scenario with the curriculum.

Night Life

3

The college has a gym in it right next to the cafeteria so that is quite something. The cafeteria is a hit or a miss but the park, amphitheater and the auditorium are popular choices for hangout. There is nothing much around the college since it is a diplomatic area but people usually go to Satya Niketan and state bhawans

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and may be seen as average in aspect of my college . I selected my course as I saw myself holding potential in the field of language , English was my strong interest. The curriculum prepares a basic and needed knowledge for everyone accordingly and yes , it may be seen as an important aspect in higher education, experiences from professors and teachers is shared by live demonstrations and examples in order to achieve a good understanding. The improvement in the curriculum may be that of a much regular based classes as there is a frequent cut in classes and sometimes some teachers may slack during the day cancelling classes and stuff . The frequency of exams and timings are arranged and not much complicated related to my course and difficulty may be considered moderate .
