New Delhi: The National Testing Agency conducts the CUET UG 2024 examination in hybrid mode, which includes both pen & paper mode and Computer Test (CBT) mode. This year, CUET UG 2024 is scheduled from May 15 to May 24, 2024 in various exam centers across the country.
CUET UG will be held in CBT mode for all subjects (except 15 selected subjects). To appear for the CUET UG 2024 exam in CBT mode, you have to sit in front of the computer screen at the allotted CUET exam centre. The computers will be allotted as per the roll number of applicants and the exam will be held for 45 minutes (60 minutes for selected subjects).
To take the CUET CBT Exam 2024, candidates have to mark their answers with the mouse on the computer screen. The screen will display the questions as well as the time remaining for the examination. Once the timer reaches zero, the exam will end and students will not be able to fill in their answers.
How to Appear for the CUET 2024 CBT Mode Exam?
- Reach the exam center at least one hour before the given time.
- Carry the admit card and other documents as required and complete the verification at the exam center.
- Locate your roll number on the list of computer terminals and reach the exam hall with your designed roll number.
- Sit on your allotted computer and check the details mentioned on the screen. The screen will display "‘Welcome [Candidate’s name]".
- Click on "proceed" and log in using your username and password.
- Read the detailed instructions and follow the same throughout the exam.
How to Mark Answers in CUET UG 2024 CBT Mode Exam?
- After successful login, you will see all the questions on the computer screen as well as the countdown timer in the top right corner. The counter will display the time remaining for examination.
- On the question palette, you can either mark the answers and leave the question for later by simply moving to the next question.
- To select an answer, click on the answer option.
- To deselect the answer, click on your chosen answer.
- To change the answer, simply click on your chosen answer and the mark will be moved to your selected option.
- In case you wish to move to the next question, you can click on the "mark for review" option which indicates that the answers are left for review.
- To answer the "mark for review" question, select the "unmark for review" option and select your desired answer.
- You can change the screen by shuffling between the questions and sections will be displayed on the left side of the screen.

How to Check CUET CBT 2024 Question Paper Status?
You can check the status of your answered, not answered and marked for review questions through the question status window. The answered questions will be written in green box while not answered and questions marked for review will be in red box.
How to Do Rough Work in CUET UG CBT 2024 Exam?
For rough work, you will be given a blank or rough sheet in which you can do your calculations. You are required to enter your roll number and name on the sheet before doing any writing work. After the exam, you have to give the rough sheet to the exam invigilator.
