Faculty

We have really good amount of faculty according to our student ratio like , i personally don't know the ratio. The faculty to student relationship is really good with maximum teachers, and some teachers are their which i don't like. When i need any help related to study from any teachers from our department , if i go to the staff room i'll get help from the teachers, they are very helpfull .Personally i like Aftab sir and Zakhiya mam from Pol Sci. Department and PDG and SDG mam from our Geography department , rest of the teachers i dont like them from these two department cause they sometime don't take class in time and also cancel their classes also they are very aggresive in classes sometimes i don't know their names. And The faculties from Economics department are amazing , every teacher are very helpfull and supportive also well behaved don't misses or cancel their classes . If i talk about my course structure , i have choose the 3yr multidisiplinary course in BSC GEN in our college and i have 3 main subjects (ECONOMICS,POL SCI. and GEOGRAPHY). We have 2 sem per year , the main papers are for 50 marks we have to get atleast 35% to pass that subject . Also we have projects and practicals also have internal exams from our college which is 30+20 . We get 10 from internal exams and 10 from our performance in that semester.

Course Curriculum Overview

I really dont have specific aspects to choose this course actually i have to do some side study for competitive exams during my graduation so that's why i joined this course and also if i talked about my subjects , i choose those intentionally cause the subject i chose they will also help me in my competitive exams . The curriculam prepare me for mainly my exams and also for some real wolrd applications like before joining this course i dont know about economics and the whole economy of india after joining this course i got lot's of knowledge about economics and also i'm applying the knowledge in my day to day life . I dont think any improvements are need in this course except our some teachers are conduct their classes on time. I dont really feel any difficulty in exams with this 6 months amount of time , this is enough for my whole semester study .

Course Curriculum Overview

I have do My graduation and I have to choose one of the best college for this course and also known for their reputation Insufficient preparation is a common cause of exam stress. Procrastination, ineffective study habits, or an overloaded academic schedule can leave students unprepared for exams. Realising that they haven't adequately covered the material can trigger stress and anxiety as the exam date approaches.

There is a seperate faculty for every subject and seperate teachers for doubt solving who solve the doubts of each and every student . And seperate practical labs are also there for the practical knowledge. Fees structure depends upon the category and the marks of primary and secondary board examination. Zoology, botany, chemistry, maths teachers are very intelligent and the best. If any student get bad marks then he/she can give the exam again by applying for back examination.

Faculty

The faculty members in every department are experienced and knowledgeable due to which students can gain lot for knowledge and easily get good grade to pursue the degree easily. they are strict when it come to the academic area but they are very friendly with students and they treat us like their own family. My personal favorite faculty is the HOD of Zoology Miss Maben who has an experience of approx 30 years and she is an expert in the field of zoology. She is a not only a good faculty but also a great supporter you can have in your college years. All faculties in the college are very soft spoken and gentle with student so there are no such faculties here that students dont like. AS to talk about the exams the internal paper are well made from the syllabus itself, nothing is asked outside the syllabus and difficulty level is medium. Majority of the students pass all the examinations with good score and there are rarely 2-3 people who fail only when they do not attend the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

As per the NEP batch there was a lot of change in the course curriculum like previously we had 3 subject combination and all the three subjects had equal importance, but now there is 2 subject combination and one subject is to be chosen by the student as an optional subject and is to be studied for 2 years. in final year there will be only 2 major subjects which are broken down into paper 1 and 2 and labs are also taken accordingly. there are also some subjects which are taught in this course which are different and provide real time applications for students to apply like digital fluency, AI etc. majorly the portion is covered per semester and self study by students before the exam helps them to clear exam in better ways. the teaching methods are traditional chalk and board as well as smart classes. internal exams are of 30 marks for 1hr whereas external final examination are of 60 marks for 2 hrs.

● Top Answer By Shruti Singh on 13 Oct 22

Ans. Practicals for first-year B.Sc students are held in February for the July session. Practicals are usually held on Sundays at around 9 a.m. Boys and girls have their rooms. When the assistant finishes the distribution work, the teacher asks you to write two experiments with the aim, requirements, method, theory, and everything with tables. The teacher announces the student's name. He then asks a few questions regarding the same before concluding the practicals. You just have to keep the file handy and create a beautiful piece. As explained by a B.Sc(Hons) Computer Science graduate from DU, there are the following scopes after the course: Job: If you are studying computer science at a college like Hansraj, KMC, or Venky, you may get a good job or your dream profile in a good company. If you believe and know that you will not be able to find work that is equivalent to your B.Sc Comp Sc, please do not apply.  Passion for Computers: If you want to go into research while still enjoying computer science, pursue an M.Sc in Comp Sc from DU or another reputable university such as Kolkata University or Bombay University. Ques. Is IGNOU good for B.Sc?

● Top Answer By Shivangi Guha on 07 Apr 22

Ans. Yes, IGNOU offers decent BSc courses. Although it is a distance learning degree, the course work is heavy. You will have to submit assignments and attend practical classes regularly. IGNOU has a strict evaluation system. You need to go thoroughly through the study materials to score well. Pursuing the degree along with a full-time job or full-time degree will be hectic. So, if you are planning on pursuing a BSc degree, it will be better to do a regular degree instead. Read more

Ques. What are the future prospects of getting a BSc degree from DU? What are the best colleges in DU?

● Top Answer By Prashant Mathur on 12 Oct 22

Ans.  In today's world, getting a bachelor's degree from any college isn't worth much. DU has a brand name, but if your overall grades aren't good enough, having a degree from Delhi University is pointless. By providing many resources and an intellectual environment, Delhi University will assist you in exploring various aspects of your personality. However, if you have a bachelor's degree in any of the Science subjects or even Mathematics, you will need to do a master's or even a PhD to get a decent-paying job. However, if you are an SRCC or Stephens graduate, you may be able to get a good placement from the college itself if you have a degree in Arts or Commerce with above-average marks. The best colleges vary depending on your subject, such as SRCC for those interested in commerce. Stephen's is also regarded as one of the most prestigious universities. Other good colleges include Miranda House, Hindu, and Lady Shri Ram.Read more

● Top Answer By Deepak Kumar on 01 Nov 22

Ans. In order to get admission to the MSc program of IITs, you have to appear in the IIT JAM examination. This requires BSc Hons or a major in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics.
