Lateral to BTech
BSc Students have the option of switching to BTech after completing BSc. They will get admission in the second year of a B Tech degree. Only diploma holders were allowed BTech Admission through Lateral Entry, but from 2013-14 BSc students also have this provision. According to AICTE, students from BSc Computer Science and BSc IT have the opportunity for direct admission in BTech 2nd Year through Lateral Entry.
