BSc is a 3 year undergraduate course that deals with the in-depth knowledge of a subject. It builds a base of knowledge for students to pursue research oriented work. BSc can be pursued in chemistry, physics, maths, IT, botany, etc. BSc Agriculture and BSc Nursing are 4 year courses dealing with both knowledge and practical work related to the course.

The BSc Syllabus covers the main course and the elective course in detail. Students drop the elective course in the final year and focus on the syllabus of the main course like chemistry, physics, maths, botany, zoology, or biotechnology. On the other hand, BSc(Hons) Syllabus only teaches the chosen subject in detail from the 1st year. The syllabus of the main course of BSc and the syllabus of BSc (Hons) varies slightly over 3 years.
