BSc in IIT Admission Process

The admission process of BSc in IIT is almost same as that of BTech from IIT. Candidates need to appear for JEE Main, and JEE Advanced after completing class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 75% or above. After clearing the entrance exam, candidates need to appear for JOSAA, which is a counseling process for seat allotment to various IITs depending on rank, specialization etc. 

In order to fill out the application form for JEE Mains, candidates need to register themselves and present the following documents such as:

  • Valid Email Id and Mobile Number
  • Academic Details related to Class 10 and 12.
  • Scanned copy of Category Certificate
  • Scanned copy of PwD certificate (if applicable)

BSc in IIT: Eligibility

In order to get admission to IIT for pursuing BSc courses, the candidates must fulfill certain eligibility criteria apart from clearing the entrance test and counseling process. Some of the important eligibility criteria are discussed below for your reference, 

  • Candidates must have completed class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 75% or equivalent board examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST & PwD) must have secured a minimum aggregate of 65% or above from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates must have one language course in class 12th.
