I chose philosophy cause I read philosophical novels and I had an interest in it but honestly I'm not going with it in future. Though the department is excellent, the teaching staff is excellent and we get to learn about real world Philosophy, Ethics and morals. Teacher takes classes for major papers everyday and teaches every topic by ending providing notes. Viva and tutorials are the part of the course.. Area of improvement is that the teachers should provide more notes on English mode and teach in English mode as well because not everyone comfortable in Bengali. Frequency of examination is worse under Calcutta University, you don't get adequate time for preparation and that's the worst part.

The best. The teaching method was the best . Practical approach and laptop experiments was done regularly . And we could even practise any time we want. Teachers were very helpful and the principal was the best

Political science is a very good subject and there is many things to know which is very important for us to know and i am very interested in this subject. There should be improvement in teching method because at first they used to give many holiday and later we have to suffer with the hige syllabus.

Well, choosing this course was accidental but you'll get to know about life in a different way. Your perception towards your life will change for sure. This subject isn't that much relevant in case of further academic pursuits but their logical reasonings will be helpful if you enroll in government exams. In teaching methods, if they start lecuring in English then it'll be great for the students who can't understand Bengali. As a English medium student I have to study from YouTube and Chatgpt. In every six months exams are conducted. As per the university's notice they'll take internals of 10 marks, you have to give assignment of 15 marks, and 10 marks is on your attendance.

Psychology is of course a very relevant and important field of study in today's world and the college provides a good course structure for this subject, with a lab and many testing opportunities available.

Some of the courses are not really relevant is what I've felt. Like the psychology course is not really psychology I feel because they have included management and stuff in that. Though I think it's relevant in today's world but...yeah.

I chose This course because i absolutely love everything about political science, It's like I get to know about the political system , The political system in India and Outside India, I get to know how the government functions, the administrative structure and everything. The curricular does an excellent job in doing that since political science is all about knowing how our political system is expected to work. The exams mainly are of 3 hours and It's hard it is

In the real world they dont do any thing, they just focus on their studies but according to me they should focus on the students growth too , few skills which are very required rather than making projects. The course is nice but study methods are not implemented.

I chose this course because I love this subject throughout school specifically in class 12th so I decided to study this further and I do have some career thoughts thats why I chose this, it totally depends on the students what they want to study in which field they want to go, if I have to say about faculties and their teaching technique those were very good but the exam pattern is little bit difficult for the freshly entered student because Calcutta university pattern recently changes from CBCS to CCF, this create a little but problem because we face the problem when the exams are conducted and all.

Zoology widely covers Biology and Biology being my very favourite subject. Bethune College is one of the esteemed colleges in India. It is the first Women's college in Asia. With its rich heritage and wonderful faculty,it kind of attracted me rather influenced me to do my masters from this very esteemed institution.
