Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I love this subject throughout school specifically in class 12th so I decided to study this further and I do have some career thoughts thats why I chose this, it totally depends on the students what they want to study in which field they want to go, if I have to say about faculties and their teaching technique those were very good but the exam pattern is little bit difficult for the freshly entered student because Calcutta university pattern recently changes from CBCS to CCF, this create a little but problem because we face the problem when the exams are conducted and all.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internships are available in the University and now from the CCF pattern it is compulsory for all students to get Internships which are conducted by the College only i think this is such a unique thing that started recently it will help students in the future with a lot of things.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently a student of Calcutta University which is a renounced university and falls among one of the oldest colleges, and universities. Since it is a government college the fees you can expect are very little affordable for almost anyone. Fees depend on the course you opt for like if you apply for a BA, your first year's fees will be around 1186 to 2000 I guess and if you opt for a BSc it will go a little more than 1371 and the next semester goes on so accordingly to me it's quite affordable.

Campus Life

3.5

The infrastructure of the main building of Calcutta University is very pretty, a very beautiful aesthetic, other colleges are also good. Not that bad, I would say the overall infrastructure is nice. I would say nice and if you talk about the food facilities. Basically, the canteen facilities and all those are good, you get enough food and hygienic food you get water facilities are also good equally good and If I say about you know social events, sports cultural event extracurricular activities, those were good enough and almost every college that fall under calcutta university conduct a fest of themselves which is very enjoyable and very, very nice. Honestly, I really enjoyed that fest, and felt really good to be a part of that fest or event.

Admission

The admission process is quite smooth here but you have to score a little bit more if you wanna get into these colleges of Calcutta University because calcutta university has some of the most famous colleges and most renowned colleges like Bethune College Maulana Azad College Asutosh college etc. Although the process is very smooth. But you have to score a little bit more. Because the cut of hair goes very high, very, very high. So if get a chance that's very good and if you don't you can apply to other colleges they are also equally good.

Faculty

4

I would definitely say some colleges really have one of the best faculties, we have such a good faculty, and my professors are really very good and very supportive and friendly as well or how can I forget my friends i do have really good friends over there. Faculties are really good and educated they know what to say and what not and their behavior is also very good.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Political Science)

I really want to but the distance is problem, my parents didn't allow me to live alone in Delhi and the distance from West Bengal to Delhi is also huge

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I used to read so many novels from my childhood and that inspired me in getting attracted to this field. We used to have the fecility of having seminar in the end of every month after compleating of each lessons. And this process helped us in true education. After every year professors from differnt parts of the country used to come for a seminer for overall groth of the students. Actually is theory teaching style is followed in the college, according to me some developments in the practical teaching can be used. Semister is held at the end of every six months and the exams are used to be moderate in nature.
