The college offers two main faculties, science and arts, with strong departments in history, psychology, and English. Exams are held every six months, including a 10-mark internal exam that most students pass, though a few may fail. The faculty is dedicated, providing personalized mentoring and regular doubt-clearing sessions, along with activities like excursions and seminars. Philosophy and Psychology are particularly noted for fostering critical thinking. Affiliated with Calcutta University, the college experiences challenging exams and uneven scheduling, often leading to supplementary exams.
