Established in 1937, Women’s College, Kolkata has been one of the popular Women’s Colleges under University of Calcutta. Women’s College provides both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree programs. In the UG program, both General and Honors streams are offered.

Every department of College has a Departmental Seminar Library headed by respective Departmental faculties. E-Resources are available for students. - NSS: Women’s College, Kolkata has dedicated NSS wings. Cadets have successfully participated in various occasions like Kerala flood relief, Independence Day Celebration, Republic Day Celebration, etc.
- Spoken English Course: The College conducts Spoken English Course, every Saturday. An annual certificate is given upon successful completion of the course.
- Srijan Centre for Community Welfare: As a part of Social Responsibility, Srijan, an initiative by Women’s College Kolkata provides various cultural training like dance, music, painting, etc. to the children of the nearby slums. Srijan arranges their books, stationery, school uniforms, and refreshments. Regular health awareness and health checkups of the children and their mothers are done by the College with the help of proper medical practitioners.
