SGTB Khalsa College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

My brother suggests me to join this course, in this course we perform practical on computer, for improvement in this course they hired good faculty for teach DSA , because in computer science field DSA is very important

My course is Bs c cs hons & it is not very easy course. It requires a lot of computer knowledge, basic programming & coding. If we talk about teaching, teachers are good but you camnot be fully depended on teachers u will have to complete things by yourself.

I'm currently in 1st year. Since I've not completed even my first year so I've had no experience on placements and internships but our college do offer placements. As per the latest report, the highest and gross package offered during placements 2022 stood at INR 25 LPA and INR 8.10 crore per annum. More than 167 offers were made and over 70 recruiters participated during SGTB Khalsa College placements 2022. Popular recruiters participated include Deloitte, EY, McKinsey & Company, etc. My plans after getting a degree is to complete my masters and then apply for a job.

My college placememt is little lower as compared to other north campus colleges of DU. The main reason I think so is because of 50% reservation for Sikh students. Most of them just don't want to study and only focus on wasting time roaming here and there and busy in their own works. Due to this our average package decreases. But the highest package offered in our course is 24LPA last year with an average of 5-7 LPA.

Companies do come to this college but you can't expect too much as the percentage of placement is quite low. Personally I feel that one should try out off campus placement, if you have plenty of skills you will get placed.

I am a student of B.Sc. Computer Science (Hons.) and I am very satisfied with my course. The professors at our college have a very good understanding of the subjects and are very helpful. Our college is equipped with 3 computer labs and has all the necessary infrastructure required for the course.

I chose this course because I had to go into the the computer science field. There is a good amount of faculty in computer science in our college. All the faculty members are either Post graduated or PhD holders.

BSc(Hons) Computer science is almost similar to BTech level and covers almost every computer science subject like c++ ,java, AI ,ML , deep learning, etc. The course curriculum is updated recently in 2019. The faculty is quite good here. Though my batch mostly studies online virtually. Teachers are from reputed colleges like bits, du cs department, etc

Almost 90% of the syllabus is similar to the B.tech syllabus. All the important Computer Science subjects are covered. Some important math topics necessary for C.S. are not covered but you can find many online resources for that. The faculty is well qualified. Almost all the teachers have a P.G. degree and many are pursuing PhD. Lots of scopes to learn new things.

From the end of the second year in your 5th semester, one is eligible for all the placement opportunities. One can opt for campus placements or apply to companies outside of it simultaneously. You could apply for entry positions in budding start-ups or start something of your own even with the network provided in your college.
