Course Curriculum Overview

As I mentioned I am good in mathematics and have an interest in coding,so I chose this course. In the department of computer science we have approximately 10 teachers and all of them have great knowledge of their subjects, some of them are not that good but some are too good in explaining the concepts.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 29990 per year

Internships Opportunities

Their is an active internship cell known as "Ignite". It is run by the students and companies do offer paid and unpaid internship companies like Flipkart offer internship. Some new start ups also give the role of campus ambassadors to the students.

Placement Experience

Companies do come to this college but you can't expect too much as the percentage of placement is quite low. Personally I feel that one should try out off campus placement, if you have plenty of skills you will get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a Gurudwara commitee aided college and a part of University of Delhi. So fee is not a problem i.e not that high. You can also apply for scholarship and financial assistance based on your family income and grades obtained by you.

Campus Life

Our college has the second largest ground in du and sports activities are good here. There are so many clubs and societies like chalchitra the cinema society, enactus ,nss, ncc etc. library is also good and have a variety of books.

Admission

I have given CUET exam, to get admission in this college. I have opted for BSC computer science as I am good in maths and have an interest in coding. I belong to Sikh religion and this college accept Sikh minority so if you are a Sikh student then you can apply your minority certificate with the document at the time of University registration. Admission process is smooth.

Placement Experience:

We have an active placement cell in the college. Students are eligible for placement in 6th Semester. there are quite a lot of companies that offer jobs and we do get a decent average package. I plan on pursuing master's degree after this.

Aryabhatta College (Delhi University), a new but hustling place

Course Curriculum Overview:

i believe CS hons is a decent course. The curriculum is however, very outdated. We are being taught several topics that have no relevance these days and they arent even taught properly. I believe a far better choice would be doing BTech instead since it has a better course and companies prefer that over BSc CS. In terms of preparing for the real world, i believe this course has no use since the most important parts we have to learn it ourselves. Exams are conducted once at the end of every semester (including practical and theory). However during the semesters, there are multiple tests taken to asses our knowledge regularly

It is a place to develop yourself.

Placement Experience:

I think from 3 year 5th semester students are eligible for the placement. Companies that comes are Deloitte,ibm etc. i have not too much knowledge about that but i think the median package is 4-5 lakh per annum and highest is 10 lakh. My want to become more professional and become capable to buy anything of my interest.

I chose this course because statistics is a rising field and is used everywhere . Also l had a good command on Statistics and maths in 12th standard. I believe that this course is really very relevant for today's world but could be made a bit more practical to be applied in real world situations.
