Sgtb khalsa , hidden gem of NC DU

The curriculum for Political Science hons is very well laid out with different opportunities at the helm. The departmental society work tirelessly to organise dialectical events that engages students across the colleges to discuss and Deliberate of various disciplines.

I dont have much idea about the internship opportunities as again I'm a fresher. However the internship society is very active and sends links and forms to fill out for all the courses across and isn't only limited to few courses.

Given that I'm a fresher I dont have much knowledge about the placement of the college. However during the initial weeks of my college I did see seniors geared up for placement interviews and projects. I also heard that college has average placement package of 5-6 LPA. The max was around 20 LPA. Also one of the alumni was within top 10 ranking of CSE exam conducted by UPSC.

The year wise fee paid by me for the course I'm doing is around 24500. I don't have the exact idea about the fee breakdown but i believe it's a bit costly Comparitively as the college is associated with Gurudwara committee and much of the Part of fees goes to the committee as fund. The college however provides fee concession and finacial aid.

The clubs in the college are very active and would always have a task assigned to you. They'd try and test you through every means they could before recruiting you with them. Once selected they'd create a space for you to grow, develop and nurture your skills and ideas. The college actively participates in sports activities with students representing college across the University of Delhi and abroad. Also the college holds sports event within the campus for college students to bring to them a platform to discover themselves in the field of sports.

The college is purely based on merit list except for the seat reserved for Sikh minority. However the crowd here is very mindful and cohesive. People you start getting along with will greet you wherever they see you and always up to help u with anything u want/need. The staff is equally active and works for students through students. The management tries their level best to tackle any situation that arises and help the students out. They never run away from their duty.

The faculty here in the college is highly intellectual, they take classes which are highly cooperative and are very sincere to their jobs. Also at the same time they are supportive and coordinate with the students trying to understand their plight at times. The exam pattern of the college is centralised to University of Delhi. The difficulty of the paper is medium and most of the students are able to clear the exam.

Given that i haven't had much time around the college during the evening and later Period so can't say much. However what I have heard from the students living nearby the night life is very vibrant and secured for the students compared to other colleges in the North Campus of University of Delhi.
