SGTB Khalsa College BA {Hons.} Political Science: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Admission to this college is straightforward for general applicants, not requiring interviews or group discussions. However, candidates applying through specific quotas like Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) must undergo interviews or auditions. The faculty is noted for being intelligent and supportive, aiding in coordinated student interactions. Exams follow the University of Delhi's centralized system, with a moderate difficulty level, making them manageable for most students. The placement cell is active, especially for BCom Hons and Economics Hons students, with companies like Deloitte participating and offering packages averaging 5-6 LPA, potentially reaching 20 LPA.

Political Science students face fewer placement opportunities but often engage in internships, typically in NGOs or related fields. Campus placements start in the third year, primarily involving educational institutions and media firms. The college provides internships in various fields, available throughout the year. Annual tuition fees range from Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 24,820, depending on the course and campus location, which is relatively high compared to other Delhi University colleges.

EWS and PWD students may have zero fees, while others generally pay around Rs. 24,000. Scholarships are merit-based, mainly for students scoring above 70%, with some financial assistance for underprivileged students. Hostel fees for girls are approximately Rs. 70,000 per semester, with a Rs. 10,000 security deposit. The college's affiliation with a Gurudwara committee influences its fee structure. Although the placement cell is proactive, some students express dissatisfaction due to the limited scholarship options beyond merit-based ones.
