Motilal Nehru College: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 3 Reviews

To be admitted to the college, prospective students need to check the cutoff list and compare their best four subject scores from 12th grade with the college's merit list. If eligible, they must submit their marksheet and documents to fill out an admission form, which is then submitted to the administration office. For instance, a student applied on May 10, 2015, and was admitted to the B.A. Hindi Honors course after the merit list was released 15 days later.

The college's faculty comprises experienced Ph.D. holders employed by the government, who conduct 4-5 lectures daily and are praised for their effective teaching methods. The annual tuition fee ranges from 6,000 to 12,000, increasing slightly each year, alongside a 500 exam fee annually. This fee structure is affordable for most students, with provisions for economically disadvantaged students to be exempt from these charges. Although the college doesn't offer direct placement services, it provides information on job opportunities.

Hindi Honours students typically seek positions in government and private schools after graduation. Scholarships, ranging from 1 lakh to 1.5 lakhs, are available for all students, either merit-based or through exams, with no minimum eligibility criteria. The college operates under the Central Government, covering most educational expenses, while some fees are covered by students.
