More than a College - An Experience!

Likes

The very first thing I liked about my college was that we got Girl's common room. It is beneficial for the girls who used to travel long hours for the classes.
The greenery of Motilal attracts the most. During my college years I used to do gardening as I was part of NSS, so being the member of society we loved to do all these activities as other than studies it used to connects us with the nature.
The atmosphere, The vibe, The Diverse Culture of Motilal has left a very special mark in my life.

Dislikes

MLNC does not have hostel, which is why students coming from far places have to struggle to find accomodation.
Some classrooms are old fashioned, fans and light don't work properly.

Admission:

The very first college I opted was YMCA, faridabad. I chosed this college just for the purpose of reserving the seat. My admission got confirmed here but I was not happy because I was not satistfied with the course I enrolled in so I waited for delhi university admissions. I choose this college over others as I was fully satisfied with the course and its syllabus.

I had applied for other college like hansraj and hindu college but i got a confirmed admission from Motilal nehru college. Yes i get rejection because their cut off are very high so i did not meet that criteria. First of all you have to apply for CUET and then after result you should do the college selection using preference list.

My journey at you from classrooms to cafe

Likes

Faculty of teachers are very good and cooperative
Infrastructure is very clean and beautiful
Canteen is very hygienic and serves tasty dishes.

Dislikes

Irregular timetables like the gap between the classes
Classes mostly cancelled and informed about us at last moment.
Administration is slower than usual they take much time to process for work.

I applied to several colleges under Delhi university, including Hindu College, kirori mal College and Motilal. I got confirmed admission in Motilal. I choose Motilal because of its good academic reputation, active student societies and comparatively better. The top of my course the faculty is supportive and the location of the college is convenient with a vibrant campus, life and opportunity to participate in various Extra curriculum activities. I couldn't make it to Hindu or kirori mal their cut off is very high. My score is a 430 out of 800. Which wasn't sufficient to a seat in top higher colleges, my school fell shot of the requirements and I later that I should Have more strategically to target these colleges. The admission processor, Delhi University recently chain and now it's completely CUET for undergraduate admission. For my course BA program. The CUETUG is accepted. Students have to apply through common seat allocation system portal of DU where the eligibility is privately based on class 12th marks and CUET score the cut-off very differently on the course and college and student need to prioritise their choice on the CS portal. overall admission experience was smooth but competitive. It require patient and careful planning of courses and college preference. Even though I can't make it to my dream College, I am happy with my choice at Motilal Nehru College of a balance Academy and social environment, and I look forward to make the most of time here.

Likes

Canteen facility, WiFi facility, cold water facility, AC installed in classes
Very good staffs and faculty and also seniors are very good
I like also libarary in the my colage it is very Good

Dislikes

I don't like dogs in the collage it is very dangerous
And I also don't like cat in the collage which is also very dangerous
I also don't like the washroom in the collage sometimes it is very bad

Firstly I give cuet exams for applying for delhi university according to my Mark's I first' get Sri Aurobindo Collage then I upgraded my clg then I get Moti Lal Nehru College Morning then I freezed here only because I like this clg

This college is more better than other colleges in the basis of infrastructure, on the basis of course and also on the basis of othe circular activities. I am happy to choose this college the admission on this college is based on cuet exam . Then you choose du and then you get college according to your cuet marks

I liked the infrastructure of the college and the facilities are available in the campus like the labs , canteen , jubilee block, sv block
I like the teachers the way they are teaching us the teachers of my subject are soo good so I don't need a Tution for the subjects of my college
I like the canteen of the college the food is good and the price is also affordable and the quality of good in my college.

Dislikes

I not much like the crowd of my college honestly . The crowd is not much good but the college is good not in my opinion
Some students have mentioned that the college's placement opportunities are not very good, particularly for certain programs

I am from BA program economy plus English with economy major I think in my college all the teachers are very good in explaining I think we have best teachers also clears are doubt very nicely we ask them extra questions and I think our relationship w
The society of our colleges is also nice I am also in a society wdc women development cell so far in the society we have learnt about feminism and making a place feel comfortable for everyone and many more things I feel so lucky to be the part of soc
Our college library is also nice and canteen is also nice we have basketball court also which is pretty beautiful but I like the library

Dislikes

We have app which tells us our time table when is our next class and stuff like that but in semester change and we have new classes if the shows us to classes in one time some glitches sometime goes on
And we also don't have any auditorium which I don't like because we should have an auditorium
And also our college don't have any hostel you know it they should provide hostels for student like us who came from another state

Admission:

Delhi University admission process is you have to give CUET exam based on the scores of that exam you will get into the college there are 3 campus first we have North campus second South campus then comes of campus we have to fill our preference list in which college we want to go and we have cut up for all the colleges and if our marks come under the cutoff of any colleges then we will get that college in my preference list I did fill this course and this college but before my current college which is Motilal Nehru College I got the College of vocational study but the course was B.voc which I did not like so I went for an upgrade and in that process I got Motilal Nehru College and the course was BA program economic + English after that I was not satisfy so I went for third round upgrade but I didn't come in any of the cut off so I had to go for Motilal Nehru College I love the college but the course is little bit difficult for me because I am not from math background I had commerce without math

The education giving is really good in the college
Library area is really good sitting arrangement and books are really good
The way of teaching by teachers is really good

Dislikes

Canteens area is not good for sitting and there food also
Ground the sport management are not allowing to play games like cricket
Water system is not good ..hot water is coming from taps

I liked canteen of Motilal Nehru College as it is very well maintained and the menu is very good. There are many different type of food available in canteen which is very good for students who comes early everyday for taking the classes.
The sports society is very good as there are many types of games and competitions which regularly held in the college like mostly in the month of February which help students in participating in other activities rather than studying.
Societies are also very good part of Motilal Nehru College as there are many different different types of society's available like tedX, markult, Electra and many others which help students in socializing and also provide students with exposure

Dislikes

Many times classes got cancel and teacher inform late due to which students who live far from the college came to college for classes but they are left when nothing and they waste their time in travelling mostly rather than studying
Infra of colleges not that good as the blocks are very far away from each other
Toilets of the college are not that clean. They are sometimes cleaned and most of the time they are not lane

Admission:

Choosing a colleges a big decision and for me Motilal Nehru College ended a being the best fit for my BCom Degree but the journey to getting here wasn't exactly smooth. I also applied for other colleges but I didn't get in them due to High Cutoff. Colleges I applied to and my admission outcomes Like most student aiming for a BCom from Delhi University,I applied to multiple colleges open to get into the best one possible the colleges i considered were- • Sri Venkateswara College = I applied for it because it has a great reputation,strong commerce faculty and an active campus life. • Shahid Bhagat Singh College= I applied for SBSC college because it is well known for its bcom program and good placement opportunities. •Motilal Nehru College= It has decent faculty du tagged degree and a solid commerce curriculum. Unfortunately I didn't make it into Sri Venkateswara College and SBSC college because my marks will short of the cut off. Why mlnc is good • mlnc has a mix of experienced in young professors who are approachable. • course structure like BCom syllabus is very well structured covering all essential topics in finance accounting and business • location and convenience as emergency is well connected and makes commuting easier • campus environment like the crowd is decent and while the infrastructure isn't Top nose it's good enough to support Academy and extra curricular activities. Why I couldn't get into other colleges The main reason I missed out on Sri Venkateswara College and SBSC was their high cut off.Dispite having a good percentile I feel short by a small margin. It was disappointing but that's the reality of DU admission cutoffs can be unpredictable. Admission process at mlnc The admission process at emergency like other Delhi University colleges is based on CUET scores and merit lists. Here is how it works: 1. Eligibility criteria 2. I chose mlnc for many reasons first i didnt get better college as i was from covid batch 2021 so admission was according to 12th score and score was not fair.secondly its near to my home in delhi cantt and cultural society are quite famous of mlnc to join this college
