Many cultural events are organised by faculty and colleges student like drama events etc in first session they organised fresher party for fresher students and in middle many cultural, dance singing events organised and in the end or every year union organise a festival in this fest many famous singer artists come here and entertain all of us

Fee Structure And Facilities

Every year you need to pay 6000 to 12000 for course wise what course you doing I pay my fees in first year 5000 and next year increased and I pay 5700 and the last year I pay around 6500. It’s feasible not expensive it’s in all students budget and you need to pay 500 exam fee every year. And no more extra charges in college

Fees and Financial Aid

No I never apply for scholarships but college offers you scholarships if you got merit in campus like in topper year topper you are eligible for scholarships ther are many scholarships. you also apply for scholarships by giving exam scholarships no minimum criteria for this every student can apply for this and you got scholarships it’s worth around 1 lakhs to 1.5 lakhs

You have also options for house rooms they are cheaper than PG

Alumni/Alumna

When I admitted in college I meet many students I think in college seniors are doing ragging their junior and teasing them but I was wrong that type of no personality in college I meet my senior and they treat me like I’m their classmates and we enjoy our college and some time our alumni come here and they all say one thing to us if you need any help contact us they also good in behaviour and also senicior.

Admission

Firstly you need to cutoff list of college then you need to calculate your 12 th best 4 subject number and see merit list of college then your marks are in list you need to go college and get admission form by showing them to your marksheet and essential documents then you get form and fill out this form when you fill out then you need to submit it in administration office that’s it.

Placement Experience:

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.

Media people as Hindi Hons students obviously have chane there or researches. Some even pursue freelance things as college provides the perfect platform to gain confidence and showcase the skills. Otherwise research or political expert roles are the only roles offered to Hindi Hons students. Since I want a complete command I will be doing masters in Hindi Hons.

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. You can even look for off campus placement programs and teachers are very helpful in this. They even offer letter of recommendation for the internship opportunities upon request.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

So there is a placement cell here in LSR that serves as a mediator between recruiters and students and provide adequate placement opportunities for students from various departments. The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.
