UVCE Faculty

The faculty at the University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) is highly qualified, with most lecturers holding Ph.D. degrees from reputed institutions such as IITs and IISc. The college has approximately 90 lecturers, including senior faculty with 20 to 35 years of experience. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 1:80-100.

Despite a shortage of permanent staff, guest lecturers, and contract-based teachers, the faculty is generally approachable and supportive, particularly in academic and research guidance. The Mechanical and Civil Engineering departments have over 20 Ph.D. holders each, while newer departments like Computer Science have fewer. Faculty members are known for their profound subject knowledge and commitment to student development, although there are concerns regarding infrastructure and faculty irregularities.

The college follows a structured examination system with internal and external assessments.
