Good learning Place

Likes

I liked the strong academic curriculum at UVCE, experienced faculty members, and the good learning environment that encourages technical knowledge and research skills
Since college changed the syllabus for all the branches, which is industry oriented and updated technologies and the colleges was recently converted into completely autonomous.
Majority of the teachers are friendly and they dont hesitate to clear the doubts of the students during class.

Dislikes

I heard from my friends that they said girls hostels are having old building and not have proper facilities and girls hostel is little far away from college.
While considering the Boys hostel it was good and well furnitured new building is there but the seats are too less and majority of students are coming from far away because of less number of seats
Only for few subjects they start the syllabus little late and do it quickly when exams came but dont mind these subjects are not reuired for placements

Admission:

I applied for many private engineering colleges, as i came from middle class family the fee in these colleges was higher but as UVCE is a government college it has less fee compared to other colleges. and i am NEET student and i got government BAMS college,Bangalore but as i am not intrested in that field i took admission in this college through KCET and as i came from Biology background i didnot really faced too much difficulty for programming langauage subject.

UVCE is the best college

Likes

I liked the Teaching Faculty , The affordable fees amount, The College campus
The College Placements, Training and Internships
The Reservations and admission process and all.

Dislikes

The delay in allocation of hostel and not providing correct and accurate information
There are no pg located near college and no shos nearby
The College haven't reduced syllabus for lateral entry students like other colleges it says that lateral entry students should writethe external exams too for m1 and m2 subjects

Admission:

I wanted to come to this college only because of less fees structure because my family condition was not that good so I added this as first priority then kls gogte and some other colleges. But UVCE was my first priority. I joined through dcet. My rank was 202.

Internships are good

Likes

The facilities are experienced and are teaching well.
Placements are good mainly for cse ise branches
Campus is not too big but still i liked it so that we can communicate woth seniors and reach to everyone.

Dislikes

They are not concentrating about projects and extra courses.
I think lab should need little bit improvement.

Admission:

I chose this college because it is a government college. Comparing to other colleges its fees is very low. And comparing in position it is also one of the top college in banglore. Placements are good. And it is autonomous college

College is giving very good opportunity for students coming from villages and poor background just use it in the proper

Likes

The teaching is just awesome the professors are so experienced and thought us very effectively and the teachers give more concentration on concept clearance and the teachers will bring instruments to the class to teach students practically .
Hostel fees is less and very useful for economically backward students and below poverty students can get quality education in UVCE
Professors are very friendly and humble and college atmosphere is also good and professors have very good external link so we can get internship opportunities very easily

Dislikes

Results announcement are very late in my time now it's improved and no proper office staff and more issues in the results announcement
Results will be announced messy and students have to wait so many time for revaluation and re exams
College needs a office and management staff to change the issues related to admission and results

Admission:

I had applied to the UVCE for civil engineering branch first option and first round I got BIT college i don't have interest to go to that college because of high fees . So I waited for UVCE college because of its professors and it's name and famous earlier and it's a first engineering college in the Karnataka and it's 5th engineering college in the india because of its history i have choose this college . Students need to rank below 5000 in KCET exam to get ISE and CSE branch and 10000 for ECE and EEE branch and 20000 for Civil and Mech branch . And who comes outside of the Karnataka have got good marks in jee exam

UVCE , placements, clubs and campus

Likes

UVCE had ranked the best college in placements in Karnataka a few years back.
UVCE has a vast campus in KR Circle branch and also jnanabharathi campus.
UVCE has a wide range of clubs for student aid like IEEE ,marvel etc.

Dislikes

The labs are not upto the mark. It could use a little improvement.
Hygienic washrooms are a little less in this college
Teaching faculties could take a few initiatives to teach the students

Admission:

I applied for BIT and I got a seat there but I still waited for UVCE's seat because -I feel that UVCE has better placements - UVCE has better clubs - the fees differs upto 1 lakh Admission process is quite simple. Providing required documents and fee receipt is done during this process. Later on UUCMS registration will take place

A life at uvce

Likes

I liked the facilities provided in a government college between tha nay other government college
Infrastructure is old but very efficient
Environment is too good Greenery everywhere

Dislikes

Network coverage is too weak over there wifi is there but i doesn't even give a speed of 1 mps
College timings are little worse for the people who come for away places
Lab infrastructure should be updated atleast after 4 to 5 years

Admission:

As I have mentioned earlier people across the country it's a government college and performs much better than the comparators like dayand Sagar I wanted uvce itself thus didn't get rejected from another college I got admission through kcet councelling I had to 48000 to kea cut off varies for different categories

Life experience - i personally had a good experience in my college with my friends.we had a good memorable incidents.we had a lot of fun ,we all were active in studies as well as in sports and cultural activities
Campus- the location of our campus must be appreciated with lot of greenary and well established roads ,bus facilities , hostel facilities, libraries and many more
Placement -one of the best is for amt college is the availability of placement and our college is specifically designated as a well established placements

Dislikes

Some teachers are too strict, sometimes they don't listen to students issues
Some Staffs are very arrogant,they don't respond immediately,they doubt the students

Admission:

This college was allocated to me through CET exam.I had applied many colleges live RV college, dayanand sagar college,Dr ambedkar institute of technology and many more. The college will be allocated according to the marks we secured in CET exam The admission process is lentier,we should be conscious enough thoughout the procedure

UVCE - Not just a College, beyond that....!

Likes

You get a lots of free time in UVCE and you can enjoy that
Also you can become friends with people of different branches
UVCE is like an open book where you can explore many spots.

Dislikes

Class rooms are not that great and they should get improved
Number of washrooms are very less and they should be cleaned very frequently
There is no canteen in the college. There is a room, kitchen and all but they are not ready to open that.

Admission:

I chose UVCE over other colleges because UVCE is a government college where you will have many career opportunities in future as it has many placements and fee is also less compared to the other colleges. It is in the centre of city so if is safer for students and you will have friends from other branches and different years so it would be fun to hangout

Unbeatable value-for-money: Our college has a very good placement, along with low fees, making it extremely good value for money.
Very good placements and coordinators: Our college has helpful placement team and high placement records (with 150-160 companies recruiting every year)
High juniors-seniors interaction: Out of many colleges that I've seen, our college is the only one where we know every one of our seniors, and you get to interact a lot with the seniors. (They're very friendly and helpful)

Dislikes

Bad infrastructure: It's not the flashiest college you'll get, and some parts of our college are old and poor.
Lack of a dedicated playground: If you're a sportsperson, you'll be disappointed by the absence of a playground/sports equipment. But you can't blame the college, as it's located in the centre of Bengaluru, and there's no space for a ground there.
Shortage of classrooms: There's a bit of a shortage for classrooms, so be ready for some last moment class cancellations and extra classes.

In KCET counseling, I'd gotten Computer science and Business systems course in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) in the first two rounds based on my rank (it was 5918) I got UVCE in the third and final round. Our college accepts admissions ONLY from KCET and JEE Mains (and DCET for Diploma lateral entry), and you have to secure admission by participating in the counseling process. There's no PI/GD rounds, and if you get a confirmed seat, you can directly go with the documents and get admission. Admission process itself, is a bit more straightforward than some other colleges in my opinion.

The college provide good placement for students
The college also have a good alumni network

Admission:

It is a best college in the Karnataka ranking third first come to the RBC in the first university then the uvc colleges in this college the admission is done only by cassette and JEE mains there are no management seats
