Admissions to the University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) are conducted through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), managed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Candidates must clear the KCET and meet branch-specific cutoff ranks. UVCE, founded by Sir M. Visvesvaraya, is renowned for its excellent placements, ranking among the top three in job placements. The faculty is well-qualified, with many holding Ph.D. degrees and over 20 years of experience.

The annual admission fee is approximately 30,000 INR, with reserved category students paying 4,000 to 5,000 INR.
