Likes

UVCE had ranked the best college in placements in Karnataka a few years back.
UVCE has a vast campus in KR Circle branch and also jnanabharathi campus.
UVCE has a wide range of clubs for student aid like IEEE ,marvel etc.

Dislikes

The labs are not upto the mark. It could use a little improvement.
Hygienic washrooms are a little less in this college
Teaching faculties could take a few initiatives to teach the students

Course Curriculum Overview

The timings of college varies from 8-5 on the days we have lab.(1-2 days a week) It usually starts from 8/ 11 and ends at 2. The curriculum is good . The college is autonomous and is based on the model of IIT.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 48000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Oracle , toyota , IBM, Huawei, Bosch,volvo , adobe, Infosys are top recruiting companies. Around 160-180 companies come in for requirement. Summer internship are provided with stipend. Usually 80% of students get placed.

Placement Experience

From 6/7th semester students becomes eligible for placement but placements is given from 3rd sem itself . Around 70-90% of our seniors got placed in 2024. average package is around 6/7lpa. Infosys, delta,wipro ,SAP lab are top recruiting companies. Highest package in UVCE till is 58LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees is 480000/- for GM There are scholarship programs like catalyst and UVCE foundation The wise is comparatively lower to categories like SC/ST. UVCE foundation conducts interviews for students and based on their marks and yearly income scholarship are awarded to students.

Campus Life

There are many clubs like IEE marvel , G2C2 , paradox,E-cell etc Fests like milagro ( cultural fest), impetus (tech fest), inspirion( cultural fest), fiesta, kagada( paper presentation), esportivo (sports).

Admission

I applied for BIT and I got a seat there but I still waited for UVCE's seat because -I feel that UVCE has better placements - UVCE has better clubs - the fees differs upto 1 lakh Admission process is quite simple. Providing required documents and fee receipt is done during this process. Later on UUCMS registration will take place

Faculty

The faculties are approachable and quite friendly. There are a lot proffesers for one course which is a good thing. Controller of examinations office has the best faculty. Proffesers are very experienced as well.

Night Life

Students often go to the famous cubbon park which is only a few minute walk from UVCE. It is best place for picnics ,meetups etc . Library is the place for academics oriented students in UVCE. It is safe in and around UVCE. Boys hostel provide great food everyday.

My College life

Placement Experience:

The placement in colleges was good but the salary for the core job work was very less, maxing at 23000 at max, but the pay for other job roles was much higher, so getting a job from college was not difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

From first sem to 8 sem it has various subjects, in 1 st sem there is various branch subjects that's are some are my favourite and some are tough for me but after that in 2 and 3 year all the subjects related to my course are so gud and some are problematic subjects even I selected some problematic subjects in open elective all are so gud understanding.

Placement is good, every student who tries to get placement will surely be placed in campus placements, but off campus would be difficult as this cllg is a tier-3 cllg, so many companies reject in resume shortlisting. Maximum every CSE student will get placed but max of them would get placed at an offer of 3.5 or 4.5lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say academic wise. There is nothing much happening right now in first year, but then there are many events like hackathons happening where and we can participate and learn a lot even our first year and we have English film and Japanese film, which is basically a whole language club and there are a lot of activities happening such as debate and all, which is obviously helping us gain a lot of public speaking skills and confidence.

I had applied to the UVCE for civil engineering branch first option and first round I got BIT college i don't have interest to go to that college because of high fees . So I waited for UVCE college because of its professors and it's name and famous earlier and it's a first engineering college in the Karnataka and it's 5th engineering college in the india because of its history i have choose this college . Students need to rank below 5000 in KCET exam to get ISE and CSE branch and 10000 for ECE and EEE branch and 20000 for Civil and Mech branch . Chyavan's review of UVCE

In KCET counseling, I'd gotten Computer science and Business systems course in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) in the first two rounds based on my rank (it was 5918) I got UVCE in the third and final round. Our college accepts admissions ONLY from KCET and JEE Mains (and DCET for Diploma lateral entry), and you have to secure admission by participating in the counseling process. There's no PI/GD rounds, and if you get a confirmed seat, you can directly go with the documents and get admission.
