Faculty

Coming to the faculty most of them hold PHDs or currently doing their PHD , Each faculty is specialised in a particular area of the subject. In my branch Faculty to student ratio is 1:6. Coming to exam pattern there will be 3 internal exams (CIE) out of which best 2 are taken for 40 makes and 2 quizes for 20 marks and remaing 40 marks for experiential learning (project ) making a total of 100 marks and the subject having lab will carry a total of 150 marks internal (50 marks for lab work ) and semester exam will be for 100 marks (plus 50 marks for practicals only for lab courses ) the exams are moderate in difficulty depending on the subject. The course curriculum is updated and relevant to the present trend

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of electrical and electronics engineering is designed in such as way to include the current trends such as VLSI , SEMICONDUCTORS, RENEWABLE ENGERY TECHNILOGY etc. The curriculum is project oriented meaning the max weightage 40% is given to experiential learning , in order to implement the theory into practicals veschse theroy can only take you so far. The areas where th curriculum can improve is that adding more of technical subjects and removing subjects such as yoga , human values etc If the semester is for 4 months then each month (approx) will have one CIE (total of 3) and difficulty is moderate assuimg EEE is very hard

For every year there's no demand for events and functions from the freshers day, Annual day, Culturals, Symposium, Inauguration Function, Seminars, Workshop, Pongal, Onam, Holi, Hostel Day, Seniors Day are the major events held on this College. Here there's a library which contains most of the books required for the field and other outer books are lesser comparing to field related books. It's easy to access and we can take any books and should return in 15 days or must register after the 15 days. Facilities in this College Class rooms is 2 lights ,two fans and windows for fresh air , nothing more than that even it's quite good for class room i guess. There's a lot of Areas in the College for sports and the college values sports as same as Education .The campus contains Football ground ,Tennis Court,Basket ball ground, Cricket ground as well as .. There's a many clubs organised and maintained by the students namely Hands for others which core is to help others who're in need and a Blood donation Community which is to donate blood for the emergency and needed persons as soon as possible.

Fees and Financial Aid

So as a B.E Electrical and Electronics Engineering student I paid 50,000 per year additionally there's some additional fees such placement training fees which's 10,000 ,No dues twice a year approximately 5000-6000 , Admission fees 5000 on first year and extra event fees like Culturals, Symposium, Annual day ,Pongal ,Onam ,etc. Most of the courses in this college fees is similar to this and it may vary according to the reservation and councelling or Management. My friends fees may differ on Tution is a little bit & there's a huge difference in hostel fees due to their category. And yeah there's a scholarship for reduction in fees on some categories for First Graduate students there's a reduction of 25,000 from their fees,Post Matric Scholarship Students (SC/ST) 50,000 from their fees will be reduced. Also College offers some scholarship according to their community like BC,MBC,BCM,etc. For this category students annually some amount from the fees will be paid each year to their bank account & they should withdraw it from bank and pay to college as according to their fees structure.

Campus Life

We have fests and events every time and again. Two of the biggest though are Kanam and Heloniciois. The former is the cultural event and the latter is our tech event. There are 7-8 blocks of academics and our MBA block is where our T&P cell is. Sports facilities are good and academic facilities without a doubt are among the best.

Faculty

On a personal level, I had an amazing relationship with them as I had numbers of most of them. So, this level of comforting from them made sure that we have a good time not just learning but understanding this love, hate relationship which faculties and students generally share.

Course Curriculum Overview

The difficulty level of courses depends on the course that you choose. For example: cse over here is exceptionally good but can't say the same for electrical engineering. It isn’t the faculty or anything, it is just that scoring in courses varies upon the curriculum

Placement Experience

From 7th semester, students are eligible for internships and placements. The placements over here are good but only if you maintain your cgpa. There are various companies that come to college for placements. Placements for cse and ise are pretty good.

Ques. Which should be preffered IIT bhu electrical or BITS pilani EEE?

● Top Answer By Prena Kukreti on 31 Jul 24

Ans. IIT BHU and BITS Pilani are two highly reputed institutions for engineering studies in India. IIT BHU would be a better option over BITS Pilani because of these reasons: Brand Value: IIT BHU carries the prestigious “IIT'' tag. Thus, it has a greater brand value than BITS Pilani. This becomes important when applying to foreign universities for your higher studies.  Fees: As a government institution, the fees of IIT BHU is much more affordable as compared to BITS Pilani. Thus, IIT BHU has a higher ROI (Return on Investment) because it offers even better placements than BITS Pilani.    Here are the important comparisons between IIT BHU and BITS Pilani:   Particulars IIT BHU Electrical BITS PILANI EEE Establishment Year 1919 1926 NIRF Ranking: Engineering 15 25 Tuition Fee *INR 1 lakh per semester INR 2.60 lakhs per semester Highest package (2023) INR 1.15 CPA INR 60.75 LPA (overall) Average package (2023) INR 30.25 LPA INR 30.37 LPA (overall) CTC Range (2023) - INR 9 - 18 LPA ( for Core branches)   [In 2024, B.Tech EEE students received top offers in the range of INR 15-25 LPA] Recruiters on Campus Accenture, Accolite, Adani, Aditya Birla, Adobe, etc. Accenture Strategy and Consulting, Alphagrep, Coinswitch, Fischer Jordan, etc.  *(for SC/ST/PwD students, and others with family income <= 1 LPA, the tuition fee is 0. The tuition is exempted by 2/3rd for students with family income <=5 lakh and > 1 lakh). Because of all the reasons listed above, I would suggest you opt for Electrical at IIT BHU over EEE at BITS Pilani.Read more

Ques. Which one is better, NIT Trichy CSE or IIT Delhi EE?

● Top Answer By Shruti on 09 Jul 24

Ans. NIT Trichy and IIT Delhi are two highly ranked engineering colleges in India.  Here is a comparison table between CSE branch of NIT Trichy and Electrical branch of IIT Delhi for your reference: Parameters NIT Trichy CSE IIT Delhi EE NIRF 2024 Ranking: Engineering 9 2 Placement % (2023) 90.6% (B.Tech) 84.94% (Overall) Highest Package (2023) INR  52.89 LPA INR 2.5 CPA (Overall) Average Package (2023) INR 27.27 LPA INR 17.60 LPA (Overall) Top Recruiters (2023) Google, Infosys, facebook, Oracle, ITC Limited Microsoft, CISCO, Accenture, Brain & company, Jaguar Land Rover India Limited The branch-wise placement details for IIT Delhi are unfortunately not available. However, as seen above, both the colleges offer really good placements in B.Tech programs. But IIT Delhi Electrical is a better option because this institution carries a bigger brand name, and the ‘IIT’ tag. This will be immensely important for you when applying for higher studies after your graduation. Moreover, plenty of employees give preference to an ‘IIT’ tag over an ‘NIT’ tag. IIT Delhi is located in the national capital, which is really beneficial in terms of exposure. Moreover, IIT Delhi will give you much more opportunities as compared to NIT Trichy. You can learn coding in your leisure time while studying electrical, in case you are interested in working in the IT sector. Because of these reasons, I would recommend you choose EE at IIT Delhi over CSE at NIT Trichy. Read more
