- With every college there are some negatives so do here the college is like far from city which might be cause some problem to students as there are not cafeterias or any other hangout places near college
Course Curriculum Overview
VTU curriculum is highly theoritcal it builds strong fundamentals knowledge but lacks modern industry skills needs an urgent update with more practical labs and project based learning exams are frequent keeping the schedule packed and are of moderate diffficulty

This college is named for its strong placements and i know if i work hard here i can bang a good offer in campus placements which is getting better year by year for a chance if my placement didnt happen afterall its bengaluru there are much more off campus oppurtunities i can try there
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for EEE branch is 1.5 lakh per annum and fpr other courses like computer science and its related courses are 3 lakh per annun through comedk and they too have the sc st scholarship only the people from Karnataka with sc st certificate can avail the scholarship and the bus fee is 17000 for around the radius of 9 km and 25000 for any city in Bengaluru
Campus Life
SMVIT offers a peaceful green campus with strong sports infrastructure social life is contained but boosted by 32 plus clubs e.g kalanji fest. The library is excellent 67k plus books IEEE journals and also there some more clubs like codeshack which makes coding better helping students to learn code and increase there coding ability by helping them and one other is gap which helps students to take part in acting dancing and singing script writing and all which eventually helps student to build there personaly and get over the stage fear .clubs build leadership and technical skills
Admission
i choose SMVIT for its superior placement record experienced faculty and serene green campus the. The strong infrastructure surpasses other option. Admission via Comedk was merit based and smooth I am extremely happy with my top tier decision
Faculty
The approximate ratio is 2:1 boys to girls recent data indicates of roughly 68% male to 32% female which is fairly standard for engineering collges int the region though some branches like cse and biotechnology may see a more balanced ratio compared to mechanil or civil the faculty is generally approachable but maintains a formal disciplined hierarchy all the teachers are very good i dont have any reason to dislike my teacher all are very good and also there are 2 internal assesments per semester and 1 final semester exams are moderate to difficult failure is almost none
Night Life
There are big playground and parks where you can hangout with your friends and hostel mates there is a canteen and cafe in the campus where you can come and eat the best food and aslo there is a dedicated gym for the hostliers and a gym with good equipements and well maintanined and classes at college starts at 9 AM sharp and ends at 4:30 PM and the hostel gate closes at 8 pm
