Course Curriculum Overview

3

The structure of course is very good but the way of teaching and marking scheme is very out dated. I mean to say is they always pressurize us for attendance but never ask us to develop good skill that can help in future placement. They made us do hardwork which is good but never ask us to do smart work

Internships Opportunities

3

As we have heard if we or our seniors has to do internship then we have to search ourselves the opportunity as college doesn't provide any kind of help they just tell us to focus on our attandance and attend classes even if we are diening we have to attend the class

Placement Experience

3

As I have heard from seniors , they have not been placed in good company because my college has rivalry from companies like nokia and companies like amazon is not coming to my college for hiring so ya placement is not good

Fees and Financial Aid

I have rupee 5 lakh , because I am a student from management quota and paid the fees for application and prospectus fees ,tution fees , development fees, dte miscellaneous fees, vtu registration fee, vtu miscellaneous fees , college miscellaneous fees for lab manual, tests, internet , function , forums, handbook, kalanjali, iste, library, projects, projects lab,t and p cell, teachers flag , group insurance , medical insurance, alumni meet, alumni association, industrial visit ,news letter , seminar, seminar fees , sports and games , eligibility fees ,skill lab fees, miscellaneous fees. We don't have any scholarship to avail and ya extra 20,000 has been taken for any damage feees which is not mentioned in the fees slips. My batch mate who came through comdek there fees is 2,81,000 and those who came through kcet there fees is 97,000 and those who are scheduled caste and tribe people there fees is 7000 per year. Hostel fees is 73000 for vegetarian and 75000 for ni vegetarian. College campus is beautiful and big but they don't have any entrance gate so any body can enter . College has many trees and many places but they have old building structure but lights for night is very beautiful. The most beautiful building of our college is SMVIT New library which is located in front of boys hostel. The fees for boys hostel is a little more expensive than girls hostel . Boys hostel has good infrastructure than girls hostel and even way of living is better for them. Boys hostel for vegetarian cost 77000 and for non vegetarian it is 80000. There are 5 units in boys hostel and 3 units in girls hostel. College hai dental college as well where students can go for checkup and there BDS students study also. Overall to say is my college campus is of 135 acre with 7 main building called new block which the admin block of the college, science block or basic block , electrical and civil block, mechanical block, old lib ,new lib , Auditorium both old and new, architecture block , glass box.

Campus Life

4

Simple answer for experienceing college life a solid no because my college doesn't have any function and even our freshers was is in after noon so there is not college party only seminars they conduct which irritate us sometimes

Hostel Facilities

3

It's very okaish because infrastructure of hostel is also not good i mean to sayy is boys hostel if far better than girls hostel. Our hostel hai rusted railing unplastered walls so it's in bad condition. Mes food is kind of ok in terms of taste but in turns of cleanliness it's not even ok it's worst than expected

Admission

As we thought this college will have good infrastructure because this is a college which have established way back in 1986 . Good course structure and supportive staff I though this college will provide but after coming back we realised that this college don't give us the right to explore as they try us to only follow the curriculum.

Faculty

3

There is not too many faculty in my college. My department (Artificial intelligence and Machine learning) has the least no of faculty in the college. They have introduced a new branch called as robotics and artificial intelligence that has no faculty related to that branch so mechanical faculty is dealing with them. Electronic and communication engineering has the highest no of faculty is guess coz that's the branch which hai been established way before and cse core also have good no of faculty in quiet if we see then we have electrical department and then civil department and then, isc department. So we have a course structure of 6 months in which every 2 months we have some or the other test like sometimes internal assessments or some class test but every two months we have internal assessments that's fixed both the internal assessments carries a marks of 25 which comes together as 50 then we have lab internal and lab externals. Lab internal is also of 50 marks and external also of 50 marks. So if we have to say we have lab + assessment+ assignment which comes together for 50 marks all in total. They use to average all the marks in 50 and 50 is of external . Vtu paper is of 100 marks in which is reduced to 50.

Interview Experience

3

No we didn't have any group discussion or interview during our addmission to this college. They just asked for the certificate and other things while admission and nothing else where required for admission

Night Life

3

There is nothing around my campus only border security force campus is there and air force campus is there ... Even there is no metroo also so no very bad condition of travellling also because of we book a cab it's very costly so yaa nothing called as night life.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
