Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore FAQs 2025

Ques. What is an honest review of AIT Bangalore?

Ans. Students claim that Acharya is known for its stunning infrastructure and great shooting spot. If you look into the academic section, it depends on different departments. The faculty for E&C is not that great compared to CS & IS departments. Other departments like Mechanical, E&E, BT, and Mechatronics are average on teaching scale. The college fee structure and hostel feel is quite high as compared to other private colleges. Higher management is quite friendly, so they will help the students if required. There is scope for extra-curricular activities but not on a large scale. And the most important 'Acharya Habba', a very lavishly celebrated college fest.

Ques. Is there an eligibility criterion for AIT Bangalore scholarships?

Ans. For scholarships offered to AIT Bangalore’s students from EWS/BPL category, the following criteria are mandatory:

  • Applicable to students of Karnataka only.
  • Should be from an EWS or BPL family (relevant documents to be submitted).
  • Should have secured a rank less than 5000 in CET (2024).
  • Applicable to only one merit student per family.

Ques. How can NRIs avail scholarships at AIT Bangalore?

Ans. NRI candidates who wish to secure admission to Acharya have a unique opportunity to earn scholarships through the Acharya Entrance Test (AET), which assesses students' knowledge in subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Management, and Arts and Commerce. Scholarships will be awarded based on students' performance. Scholarships will be awarded based on the student's performance in the entrance examination. A cut-off score will be decided based on the exam results. The scholarship percentage (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%) will be based on how well the student performs compared to the cut-off and top-performing students. Only a limited number of scholarships seats are available. The test is online and students can conveniently schedule their slots.

Ques. What is the faculty strength at Acharya Bangalore?

Ans. Acharya Institute of Technology has a diverse faculty strength comprising 306 highly qualified members, many of these teachers hold Ph.D. degrees in their respective disciplines.

JO BHI BOLUNGA SACH BOLUNGA about Acharya institute of technology

Placement opportunities and highest package being offered in the college

Campus placements are not very good .the amin problem is student themselves. From fourth semester the students become eligible for the palcements.Companies visit our college but they all are small companies.highest package is 20LPA and the average package of this college is 5 LPA.The percentage of students getting plced in this college is high.it is more than 95%. My plans after getting this degree is to get into defence .

Course curriculum and examination pattern in the college

As we all know that banglore is an IT hub so there is a ocean of oppurtunities in this field,so this reason propelled me to take information science and technology, another reason is that IT sector is what companies are looking for in the future. It prepares us for real life applications as the curriculum provides us the paltform to compete in various competeion organized by the college.as far as my experience in this college say till now i have not felt for any type of improvement in this course curriculum. Two types of exams is counducted in every semester that is internal and external.internal happens twice a semester and external happens once a semester.

Total fees of the course

Fees structure of almost every top college in banglore is almost the same. For us in this college we need to pay around 270000-280000 per year.Total for four years it becomes around 1100000.This college provides various types of scholarship program for student belonging to lower caste and for women. For general category there is nothing. As i am a first year student i have not undertaken any campus employment but from the first year itself the college starts providing the students with the required training so that they can fetch job.

Various fest, library and infrastructure of the campus

My experience in this college is very good till now. They keep organizing small festivals at regular interval but one of the biggest fest in karnataka that is habba is organized by this college annualy. The library of this college is one of the thing which i like about this college.almost every book is available their in the library. Each and every class of this college has projectors.Almost all the outdoor game is available in this college but there are less number of choices if we talk about indoor games. In terms of extracurricular activities as well this college provides with multiple number of opportunities. There are number of student run social groups, clubs etc.for example Model unoted nations, dance group, singing group etc.

Admission process and eligibility of the college

Different students will have different experience of admission, talking about myself as i am from comed-k my expereince was not that bad.Every thing happened online without much difficulty.Talking about the cutoff of this college,my rank was around 20000.In the year 2023 cutoff was very high as compared to the previous year. The only thing i did not like about the admission process was that it took a lot of time.Application form you can easily find it on comedk website including every detail like fees and application dates.frequency of this exam is once a year.

And placements rating is also good ... So I end up with this college lastly... Admission process means there are 3 ways to get admission on this college... 1 st way management seat.... Without any exams we can admission for management seats... But this is very costly... Through kcet we can admission otherwise comedk exams

Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore: 46 Answered Questions

Which is better Cambridge University or Acharya University for a B Tech IS?

PerfectParrot

Choosing between Cambridge University and Acharya University for a B Tech in Information Systems really depends on your personal situation. If you're thinking about studying in the UK and possibly staying there, Cambridge is a great choice, as long as you can afford the fees and living expenses. Just remember that the weather can be quite challenging, and the culture might take some getting used to.

On the other hand, Acharya University seems to be a private institution in Madhya Pradesh, which might be more convenient if you prefer staying closer to home. Make sure to check whether it has AICTE or UGC recognition, and take a look at the syllabus to see if it fits your needs.

Hope this helps you decide.

How is Acharya Institute of Technology? What is the campus crowd sports facilities and teaching faculty like?

HopefulHarbinger

From my experience in the Bachelor of Engineering program at Acharya, I can say that the campus crowd is pretty diverse, and there’s a good mix of academic and extracurricular activities. The sports facilities are decent, and the college promotes a variety of sports events. The teaching faculty is generally knowledgeable, with many having impressive qualifications.

However, the placement opportunities can be limited, especially for some branches, with average packages hovering around 4 to 6 lakhs. Some students find it challenging to secure internships and jobs, so it’s crucial to actively seek opportunities.

Considering all the pros and cons which college is better SN Agra GMC Sahranpur or GIMS Greater Noida?

KaleidoscopicJade

For me, SN Agra GMC Sahranpur has its perks, especially in terms of fees and supportive faculty. I paid around 5000 for my Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), which is pretty affordable, and there are scholarships for those who need it.

However, the campus life at Agra College lacks some excitement and events, which makes it feel a bit dull at times. GIMS might offer a more dynamic college experience but I haven’t studied there, so I can't speak to it directly.

Overall, I think both have pros and cons, but I’d stick with Agra College for its affordability and supportive environment.

What is the Acharya Institute of Technology like for CSE specifically in terms of campus life, studies, North Indians ratio, extra curricular options, hostels, food and fees etc?

YearningYarrow

My experience at Acharya Institute of Technology for Computer Science Engineering has been mixed. The faculty is generally supportive, but the curriculum often feels theoretical and outdated. I'm paying around 2.47 lakh per year, which is quite steep compared to the facilities provided.

The campus life is lively, especially during Acharya Habba, but outside of that, there isn't much happening. The placement statistics claim a good rate, but I've heard from seniors that the actual opportunities can be hit or miss, with many students struggling to secure good positions. It's a decent college, but I would advise being proactive about internships and skill development.

Is the Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore an autonomous college?

HeroicHarrier

Yes, Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore is affiliated with VTU and is a non-autonomous college. All the courses and curriculums are designed according to the VTU syllabus. So, we follow their guidelines for exams and evaluations. It’s good in some ways because we have a structured format, but it also means we don't have the flexibility that comes with autonomy. This is something I realized when I joined the Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering.

ResonantRiver

The crowd at Acharya Institute of Technology, especially in my course, Bachelor of Engineering in Information Science & Engineering, is quite diverse and vibrant. I’ve met people from different backgrounds, which makes the college life interesting. The Acharya Habba festival is a massive event here, and it's a great way to connect with everyone. There are many clubs and extracurricular activities, so you always have something to engage in. Overall, the crowd is friendly and supportive, making it easier to adapt to college life.

What is your review of Acharya Institute of Technology??

ZealousZeppelin

Hey there! Here's my take on Acharya Institute of Technology, just the way I'd want info about a college.

Academics
The college is pretty solid, especially with some top-notch lecturers in the ISE and CSE departments. Acharya students often make it to the VTU university topper lists. Plus, there are lots of classes focused on personality development and helping with placements.

Extra-curricular
When it comes to college fests, Acharya probably hosts one of the best in Bangalore. Students get plenty of chances to represent the college in different competitions, whether it's cricket, bodybuilding, or table tennis.

Infrastructure
Honestly, the campus is massive. Just do a quick Google search, and you'll see what I mean.

Fees
You can find the fee details on the COMEDK website, but keep in mind that the fees might be higher when you get the actual structure from the college.

Placements
My batch didn't have the best luck with placements because of the recession, but things were better for the batches before and after mine. In Bangalore, you shouldn't rely solely on college placements unless you're in one of the top 10 colleges. Exams like AMCAT and Elitmus can help you land jobs with good companies and packages.

Since you didn't specify a particular stream or focus, this is just a general overview. Hope you find it useful!

How is campus life at Acharya Institute in Bangalore?

LuminousLagoon

Acharya Institute's campus is quite impressive. During my engineering days, we checked out a few other private colleges, and while it might not match the likes of R.V. or M.S. Rammaiyah, it's definitely better than most private engineering colleges.

For first-year students, the daily schedule is packed with classes that last until around 4:30 or 5 PM. Most branches are pretty strict about attendance, especially in the first year, and for some, like Computer Science and Information Science, this continues up to the fourth year.

The library on campus is fantastic. It was newly opened when I was in my final year and stays open until 10 PM, giving you lots of time to dive into books and access the digital library, which offers free IEEE papers.

Sports are also part of the scene, with a decent range of indoor and outdoor games to enjoy. As for clubs, I didn't come across any specific arts or literature clubs like those in some prestigious colleges. Still, each branch holds its own cultural and technical events, and there's a big college festival called Acharya Habba. It's an event every student should experience at least once, with everyone on campus getting involved. The festival is packed with technical, gaming, arts, and cultural activities and usually happens in March.

How are the placements in Acharya Institute of Technology in Bangalore??

PatientPhoenix

For the Bachelor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, the placement scenario isn’t great. Students can start looking for placements from the 7th semester, but the average package is quite low, around 2 LPA, with only about 20% to 30% of students getting placed. Many companies come for recruitment, but the competition and strict selection processes can make it challenging. So, it requires solid preparation and consistent performance throughout the course to secure better opportunities.

How good is Acharya Institute of Technology Bangalore??

TimelessTome

Acharya Institute of Technology is pretty cool for Computer Science and Engineering. The campus life is lively, and there are many events like Acharya Habba. The library is impressive, and the facilities are generally good.

I found the curriculum to be somewhat outdated, which is a downside. I paid about 2.47 lakhs for my course, and while the placement opportunities are there, the average package is around 4 LPA. It’s essential to work hard to get placed since many companies come for recruitment.

So, if you enjoy college life with a good mix of studies and activities, this place is worth considering.
