Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum in our collage is designed according to the university syllabus and aims to provide a strong foundation in core engineering subjects along with practical learning . The curriculum includes both theoritical subjects and laboratory sessions, which help students understand the practical application of engineering concepts . Subjects are strucutred semester- wise and gradully move from basic fundamentals to more advanced technical topics . Thisb structure helps student build their knowledge step by step throughout the course . The exam system usually consists of internal assessments and semester end examinations . Internal assessments may includes unit tests, assigments help students stay consistent with their studies stay consistent with their studies throughout the semester rather than preparing only at the end . The semester examinations are conducted according to university regulations and generally test both conceptual understanding and problem solving ability and professional careers in engineerings.

Internships Opportunities

5

The collage provides internship opportunities for students as part of the academic curriculum under VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) guidelines. According to VTU regulations, students are encouraged to complete internships during their course to gain practial explosure and industry knowledge. The collage supports students by providing guidance through the training and placement cell and by sharing interships opportunities from different companies and organizations. Apart from internships arranged through the collage, many students also apply for private internships through online platforms, professional networks, and industy contacts. These interships may be in areas such as software development, electrical systems, technical support , data analysis, and engineering servies depending on the students brach and interests. some interships offer stipends while others mainly on skill developments and practical traning. overall the interships opportunities help students gain handson experience and prepare them better for placements and future career opportunities.

Placement Experience

5

campus placements in the collage usually start during the final year, and students generally become eligible from the 7th semester depending on their academic performance and eligibility criteria set by companies . The placement cell in the collage helps students by organizing placements drives, aptitude training, and career guidance sessions. varies companies visit the campus every year mainly from IT, Service, and some core engineering sectors. Companies such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and other mid-level organizations have visited for recruitment in previous years . the average package offered to students is usually around 4LPA to 10LPA depending on the company and job role, while the highest package may very each year based on the recruiting companies . A reasonable percentage of students secure placements through campus recuitment, while some studies or look for opportunities outside campus placements. after completing the degree, my plan is to build strong techical skills and pursue opportunities in the core engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee structure for the course is approximatel 138665 per year, depending on the category and admission quota. This includes tuition fees, registration fees, laboratory fees, library charge such as admission fees and caution deposit may also be applicable during the first year. the total fee for the complete four- year engineering course is around 35 lakh to 40 lakh . The fee dtructure has remained mostly stable with only minor increases in some academic years. Scholarship opportunities are available for eligible students through government schemes and merit based financial aid. Economically weaker sections can apply for state government schholarships. our collage also provides scholarship with strong academic performance. Apart from the regular academic fees, students may also need to pay additional charge for examination forms, forms, project work, idustrial visits, and certification programs conducted during the course. Some departments also encourage students to participate in technical workshops, conferences and socity memberships such as IEEE, which may involve asmall additional fee but provide valuable explosure.

Campus Life

5

campus life in the collage is active and provides students with opportunities to participate in both technical and cultural activities. the collage organize annual cultural and technical festivals where students can showcase their talents, participate in competitions, and interact with students from different deparments. these events are usually create a lively and engaging campus environment. the collage library provides a good collections of acadmic textbooks, reference materials, ang journals related to different engineering subjects, student can access the labrary for study , research , and academic prepartion . In addition, classrooms are equipped with baseic technological facilities such as projectores and digital teaching aids that support effective learning during leactures . the campus also encourage participation in sports and extracurricular activities. students can take part in indoor and outdoor sports .campus life offers a balanced experience where students can focus on academics while also participating in extracurricular activities.

Admission

I chose collage after comparing it with a few other collage that offered similar engineering programs . one of the main reasons for selecting this collage was its academic environment, infrastructure, and the availability of laboratories that support practical learning . compared to some other collage, the facilities here such as the library, classrooms, and technical labs were better organized and accessible for students activities also played a role in my decision because they provide opportunities to develop technical, knowledge, leadership skills, and teamwork . Another important factor was the admission process which was straightforward and transparent . The admission was mainly based on entrance exam scores and and eligibility criteria defined by the university and state counseling process . students who meets the academic eligibility requirements and qualify through the entrance examinations can apply for the course . the overall admission process was smooth, and the collage administration provides clear instructions and guidence during documents verfications and enrollment, and preparing for future carrer opportunities.

Faculty

5

The faculty members in the collage are generally knowledgeable and supportive . Most professors have good academic experience and try to explain concepts clearly with practical examples . The faculty to student ratio is reasonable, which allows students to interact with teachers and ask doubts during or after the class . Many faculty members are approachable and guide students not only in academics but also in projects, internships, and career related decisions . The course structure is designed according to the university syllabus and covers both theoretical and practical subjects related to the engineering field . The currirulum includes laboratory sessions, mini projects, and final year projects which help students understand of the projects. However, like many engineering colleges, some parts of the syllabus could be updated to include more recent indusrty technologies and practical exposure . The difficulty level of exams is moderate . students who attend classes regularly , complete assigments, and prepare consistently are able to clear the exams with out major difficulty . The evaluation system is fair, and the marking scheme follows university guidelines.

Night Life

5

The nightlife around the collage campus is generally calm and student friendly. Most student spend their evenings in the compus cafeteria, labrary, or common areas where they relax after classes and complete assignments. The collage library usually remains open until evening hours and provides a quiet place for students to study. The cafetria and small food outlets near the campus are common hangout sports where students gather with friends . For hostel students, there are specific hostel timings and compus entry rules to ensure safety and discipline. Many students also spend time in sports areas, or walking around the campus with friends in the evening. The locality around the collage is generally safe, and students usually move around in groups during late evening hours and also hostel are provided sapretly for boys and girls with safe . overall, the nightlife is not very busy but providesb a relaxed and safe envinronment where students can unwind after a day of academic activities.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
