I had economics and computer applications as my discipline subjects which helped with the basics of programming languages such as python, SQL, html etc. and much more for economics and strengthened my concepts of micro and macro economics. The course is easier and than Hons course and less syllabus than them.

I chose this course because it also provides us with great knowledge and at the same time does not put much pressure on us and we can easily take out time to prepare for competitive exams. I belong to NEP batch - the first one to go through it - and additional subjects like SEC and VAC are very nice if they are tought ir taken up well which is something that is lacking as of now. I think the improvement could be in the field of this additional subjects as well as by focusing more on providing knowledge than on the marks. We have tests and then an end semester exam and if one is prepared well the exam is not very tough.
I chose this course because I want to pursue civil services in the future and the BA program would help me to get a blended overview of various subjects at a time. further, the faculty-student ratio is not very rigid as it varies from subject to subject, for instance, in history, we have around 30 students in a class and for subjects like environmental science, we have the entire batch together. the teachers are generally the ones who have done their Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and their teaching method is always dynamic. Most of the students generally find it easy to cope up with the college studies as the teachers often cite real-life examples that are quite relatable for everyone. Furthermore, the end-semester exams always take place in the months of December and May and it is not very difficult to pass. One could even study two days before the exam in order to obtain passing marks. Also, the questions are highly similar to past years' question papers.
There are a number of freeships and scholarships that are provided by LSR for the economically backward students. even fundraising activities are quite popular throughout the college. I don't have a lot of experience with the placement process, but as far as I know the placement and packages are really good for commerce/economics, after that the biggest set of placements happens in the English department. Final year students are allowed to sit for placements and are often placed in good companies like KPMG, E&Y, Deloitte, GENPACT, among others.
My course is basic, but college reputation comes in handy. The standards are real dope. It sounds easy when we say BA Programme, but it's actually not. You really need to work hard to get a good GPA. College timings are 8-5:30. And there are only 4 classes per day, so you can concentrate on extra curricular activities. We have really great faculty. My computer's teacher is an IIT Delhi product. She really is sweet and humble.
It's feasible. As its public funded our fee around 15,000-20,000 presently.but government planning to make all universities privatization. In LSR everything is reasonable which I like the most in LSR.
