Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because it also provides us with great knowledge and at the same time does not put much pressure on us and we can easily take out time to prepare for competitive exams. I belong to NEP batch - the first one to go through it - and additional subjects like SEC and VAC are very nice if they are tought ir taken up well which is something that is lacking as of now. I think the improvement could be in the field of this additional subjects as well as by focusing more on providing knowledge than on the marks. We have tests and then an end semester exam and if one is prepared well the exam is not very tough.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The students have to look out for internships on their own and college does not have much to do with it. However, Delhi University offers Vice Chancellor Internship during summers which is based on the CGPA of the candidate which I feel is unfair and not right.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement of our college is really nice. Last year, one senior from our college got a placement of 47 LPA. On an average, the placement of our college is 20 LPA. The students become eligible for placements in the last year of college before which they are free to do internships. The percentage of students getting placements, however, is not very much or very appealing. My plan after getting the degree is not to get placed but to prepare for civil services and pursue higher degree alongside.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of my course is around 18000 annually which I feel is a fair, decent and small amount being at sucg a prestigious college. I have not experience hike in the fee during my time here. Apart from this we have to pay examination fee at the time of exam which is around 1300 - which I feel is a little over priced. There are scholarships avialble but for EWS students only. There is not much scope of campus employment here.

Campus Life

4.5

The overall experience of campus life here at LSR is very nice. We have a lot of societies for people to take part in according to thier interest and interact with people on various ocassions and platforms. Everyone gets a chance to be a part of the societies or organising committe of academic meets of their deaprtment as well as the annual cultural fest Tarang along with Diwali mela Noor. The infrastructure is also nice with well ventilated classrooms. The NSO at our college is also nice.

Admission

I belong to the first batch to go through the CSAS procedure - new process being followed by DU since 2022 through CUET. The admission procedure is very tiring and it takes around 2 months. During my time it took more than 3 months because everything was being figured out. CUET being conducted by NTA also goes through a lot of mishaps. The area for improvement would be to not stretch out the dates for various phases of CSAS so that students can get to know their admission to various colleges in time without much stress.

Faculty

4

The faculty, for the most part of it, is very nice. They are very accomodating and understand the situations of the students and do not put much of a pressure on us. The faculty to student ratio is faur and balanced in my opinion. Majority of the faculty members are very experienced and have spent years teaching in the college and the professors are very interactive as well as easily approachable. However, one drawback is that at times it happens that it takes a lot of time for a professor to be allocated for a specific subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I specifically chose Economics and history to study because I had an interest in both. Economics is pretty self explanatory, learning about how the world economy works is interesting. History on the other hand is interesting because you get to know how civilization and society developed.

German course has high demands and in germany there are relevant chances that I can get good paying jobs,I would say that the teachers are really nice, if you study well they will help you alot and are really appreciable, I would say there are none to improve because it's kinda easy to study the subject on your own, the difficulty of exams are what it should be like, it's good it's great, to make you a better person and student, and the time duration they give is enough to solve each and every exams
