Likes

Campus life and other fun moments are really amazing for students
Our college has a great number of placements which was helpful for us and also conducted many interships.
The colleges really having a good teaching faculty they are very much talented experienced.

Dislikes

Water facility was much bad and had to suffer many dangerous cases as a result.
Poor hostle facitilites and mess food is worst of all.
Occasions are very low . Canceling out some occasions for useless reasons.

Likes

FISAT got seperate grounds for cricket and football
FISAT has clean bathrooms and classrooms
All the classes in FISAT got projectors for us

Dislikes

Still use chalk and board to teach us still in this 2024

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placements. Companies like TCS, VIPRO, EY, APOLLO, etc are coming for placement opportunities. I'm hoping to be placed in my UG itself. If not I'm going for UG studies.

Campus Facilities:The campus is well-maintained, with good infrastructure.
The library is excellent, with a wide range of books, journals, and e-resources.
FISAT provides decent placement opportunities, especially for branches like CSE and ECE. Core branches like EIE have fewer options, but internships and skill-based courses help.

Dislikes

Location: Being slightly away from the city, commuting can be a challenge for day scholars
Rules: The college has a reputation for being strict, especially regarding attendance and hostel timings, which some students find restrictive.
Practical Exposure: While labs are good, more industrial visits or collaborations with industries could enhance real-world exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course in FISAT is good but a little hard. It has many subjects to study, and some are very interesting. For EIE, we learn about circuits, machines, sensors, and how things work. It is useful if you like to make or fix machines. But some topics are very old and not used much now. They should teach more new things like robotics or new technology. The subjects are big and have too much to study sometimes. But it also has practical work in labs, which is fun and helps to understand better. The course is good for getting knowledge, but some parts feel not very needed. If you work hard and like the subjects, you can learn a lot. But they should add more new things to make it better for jobs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the fifth semester.We will be getting training.Companies like Wipro, Infosys,Sap and lots more visited our college.The seats they are offering is less comaperd to the student ratio. Highest package offered is 12LPA and average is 5LPA.

Limited Programs and events for mca . other departments have numerous events.
Face stricter dressing restrictions compared to other departments
during rainy season insects were frequently found in hostel

MCA students typically become eligible for campus placements starting in their final year Tainings provided : Pre-placement talks Aptitude training companies include : TCS(oriented campus) Federal Bank Kalkitech Speridian etc Percentage of students placed approx 60 - 70% . However this year the placement percentage has dropped due to global economic slowdown by major IT companies. Highest package : 6-8 LPA Average : 3 -4 LPA Plans : Expanding my knowledge in deloping Networking on Platforms to identify opportunities

My College Life at FISAT

Likes

Has good mess food with variety of dishes. The mess food menu changes every month. Non veg is supplied everyday in a week as well as veg dishes are available for vegetarians
Has a a very large cricket and football ground which is maintained and kept clean everyday. There are also Basketball court, Volleyball court, Tennis court and table tennis. There are special teachers for different sports categories
Has good infrastructure especially the hostels, there kept cleaned everyday. Also the labs with lots of machines and tools with staffs for maintenance and working

Dislikes

The campus is too far away from the city which is almost 7km away. And takes Rs 230 as auto charge to travel from city to campus. And there are only few buses that goes through the campus and theres no bus facility after 5.30pm.
The hostel timing is pretty bad especially for girls hostel. Even though boys hostel has timing till 8pm, girls should be inside their hostel by 6.30pm. And the campus gate closes after 8pm, also need gatepass to enter after 8pm
I don't like the school uniform even though the colour is bad, it's not even a good cloth

Placement Experience:

Mostly the students get prepared for placements in the third year. Placement training is usually started in the mid of the third year. According to the passed out students and our seniors, the institution has enough good placements compared to other private institutions. The students get placed in MNCs like IBM, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, SAP, Wipro, CTS, IBS, UST Global, Government and Public Sector companies like BARC, ONGC, Powergrid, Delhi Metro and commercial banks like Federal Bank, South Indian Bank, Core Engineering companies like MRF, Apollo Tyres, Sobha, Procsys, Kalkitech etc speaks volumes about the professional excellence of students.The major activities of the Placement and Training Cell include coordinating the Campus placement activities of the college Conducting regular training for improving the soft-skills and conducting regular tests, GD`s and Mock Interviews. The major thrust area of the placement cell is training programs. Every student undergoes at least 150 hours of training programs which is spread across the years of study. They are trained by the best in the industry. Career guidance and placement orientation is ensured through sessions organised in-house and support from experts from outside. Guidance on how to prepare for various competitive exams like GATE, CAT, MAT, GRE, UPSC, PG entrance examinations etc. are also provided. Despite the economic uncertainties and industry challenges, the Class of 2024 achieved remarkable success in campus recruitment. A total of 78 students secured packages of 7LPA or more, with 484 offers from 76 companies. The highest package reached 15LPA, while the average package stood at a respectable 5.7LPA. Notable recruiters included TCS, CTS, SAP, Tataelxsi, People10, SOTI, UST, and Qburst. Core companies like Cadence, Schneider, Kalkitech, Procsys, Aarbee Structures, RDC, Saint Gobain, Dalmia, Walkaroo OEN, and Tejas Networks also hired students.

Likes

The campus is very clean and well maintained
The canteen food is also very good and safe
The ground is very big and has various spaces for different sports

Dislikes

The teaching is generally very fast and not understandable
The freedom that students get is very little
The college is very strict comparing to other colleges in area

Course Curriculum Overview:

The time gap between the 3 exams are very less. The areas of improvement is that the teachers must slow down their pace of teaching and give their students the time to catch up and they should not give them much pressure

Our university is ktu . Our syllabus has changed this year . This curriculum prepares is for real world .exams are conducted periodically. 8 semesters are there.its a four year course . Exams are difficult.the problem is there is not enough time for completing semesters

I like the neat an clean campus which is very eco friendly and green in nature.
There is like no need of additional tution as the teachers here are like so supportive
Everthying is perfectly maintained and labs are perfectly maintained.

Dislikes

The college is little strict compared to other colleges
We have to wear uniforms and cant wear colour dresses.
The college is like 8-9kms away from the main town angamaly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most difficult i have faced is for python subject.There should be like more lab periods other than theory classes.For one series exam it is like 1.5hrs .For 1st sem there is like chemistry instead of physics.And also there is a period for life skills.

Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT) is affiliated under the Kerala Technological University (KTU). The institute is a private, self financing engineering college offering engineering and management programs. Admission is done on the basis of various accepted exams like KEAM, CAT, CMAT, KMAT, GATE and JEE Main.

Admission Requirements

A student should at least have 50% in their 10+2 qualifying exams (for B.Tech) and 60% in graduation (for M.Tech).
The application fee ranges from INR 350 to INR 750 based on the course of your choice.
For MBA students after their selection through CAT scores will be followed by a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
For MCA, students must have Mathematics in their Bachelor’s Degree.
Students who secure ranks up to 3000 are admitted through Government Quota.
