- Placement is best quality of my course safety and fire engineering, last year almost everyone got placed and average package went upto 11lpa also many big companies visit our campus like gail, it offers oround 22lpa
- Very good qualified faculties all over the campus....especially soe teachers..teachers interact with students in a very good manner ... good friends.
- The egrantz scholarship is the main scholarship for the reservation students.it helps to pay the tution fees and we get a small amount of money to our bank account for our expenses.
Dislikes
- academically is the campus is very bad don't expect the staff to teach anything they just vaguely go through.
- The things i mostly disliked is cusat soe hostels there is no more than thre hostels for soe student's so everyone didn't get hostels and they want to take a room it was very expensive for students.
- Faculties are very poor. They are not aware of the subjects they teach.

- The university is not so much good for sports and arts. The sports facilities is very poor as of now.
- The university infrastructure is still developing and it can become better in the coming years
Admission:
I chose this college as first option because it is situated in the heart of the kochi city and the campus is huge and also it is a well reputed college.
And I got admission here so I didn't given much effort to other college admission procedure.
The admission procedure includes a seperate entrance exam called CAT test. Now the marine engineering admission is based on IMU result.
The exams are little difficult but if you wait untill spot admission procedure you may get seat most probably

As for me, I got admission in government Engineering College Thrissur. I selected cusat, over gec was because of the branch I was getting as I was more interested in electronics than electrical. Regarding the infrastructure, Cusat is much better than gect. Cusat examinations and evaluation process were much smoother than in Gect.
I got admission in Cusat through cusat CAT and they are got admission in gect through keam.

- The campus environment is really nice. We enjoy each every moment we stay there. We can explore the whole university and there is no limitations. The CUSAT certificate values the most.
- The girl to boy ration depends to each branches. In ECE it is 60:40 boys and girls respectively
Dislikes
- Strikes which happen relevantly may disturbs you

I chose CUSAT since it is a very famous university since 1971. A lot many renowned personalities graduated from CUSAT. There are lot of opportunities waiting smoothly students from CUSAT. Before joining CUSAT, I got admission in gec Thrissur and model engineering college Thrikkakara. But I opted out those since they are centralised with ktu which is not that better than Cochin university. I have not got any rejection from other colleges. The admission process is based on the rank we get in the CUSAT common aptitude test. Through that exam the university selects around 15000 students for the admission procedure

- kalamassery campus vibes was very nice and kochi was a vibrant city.
- lot of things to explore in the city and you will never get bored

- now the securities are very strict ,they used to be friendly now the management changed the company .

just because of the reputation of the college and the campus environment . i know kochi is a nice city to be in . you feel safe even at mid night when you go out . so going to kochi was the better choice for me

I had applied and got into model engineering college for mechanical engineering, but then after the admission process of model , i had gotten into cusat by spot admission.
I chose cusat over the other college is due to the more renowned name cause cusat is more well known collge in kerala than all the other ktu colleges .
It is its own university and not like other colleges which are only integrated to ktu .
When i checked the clubs of cusat (for mech ) it has done many wonders in the competion which ot has participated in .

- The area span of the campus is absolutely breathtaking. The trees, the nature everything is so mesmerizing.
- Cochin University comprises of variety of people from different parts of India and the world.
- The Student have different groups like IGBC, IEEE, TEDX CUSAT, SAE CUSAT etc... . In this SAE CUSAT has different subdivisions where it even has a Formula Car Making Team.
Dislikes
- Campus is filled with dogs and cow dung. This makes it a bit dangerous and disgusting.
Admission:
Comparing different colleges in kerala, Cochin University is a very reputed college. Almost all other government colleges in kerala is under the Kalam Technological University whereas CUSAT is an autonomous college whose certificates have better value than KTU(Kalam Technological University). We have to write and have a good score at the CUSAT CAT examination CODE 101. Also a high rank is required for students to get into it. Although the exam is simple, the time alloted for each questions is very less which makes it very hard to complete.

- Campus is close to city and open at all times.
- Not very strict in academic matters. Students have anough freedom as needed.
Dislikes
- Extra academic activites are not there. Most events are just same thing repeated and clubs and other hobby groups aren't there.
- The girl to boy ratio is quite low it is more in some departments but mostly there are more boys in each class.
- Politics are very much a part of student life. While you do get frequent strikes and days off there are fights and other problems due to them.
Admission:
I applied in KEAM and had admission to Christ college Bangalore but the fees were too high. I also got admission to Muthooth institute of science and technology and mar athanasius college kothamangalam. Out of these I chose cusat because I heard that it has better recognition than colleges under KTU and that college life here is better. I don't know if the recognition part is true but college life is definitely better here.

Iselected cusat I Also searched the details of LPU because some of my friends are ztudying there but thee fee structure was very much high so i took admission in cusat
Cusat is a good university in kearla with very good infrastructure and faculties.they give high oppurtunities in reasearch and higher studies

Your chances are pretty slim of getting to the main campus. But then you can always take a shot and go sit for the spot rounds that take place. Make sure you don’t miss that.
My friend get into the Mechanical branch even when he had a rank of 8000. It was even before the NRI quota was introduced. But as you may understand, this was just an exception in the odds. The competition gets tougher and tougher each year and with your rank, I am really worried you may not end up getting it.
But yes, a silver lining for you would be that you may stand a chance at their second campus and that too, for the IT branch. You have certain possibilities here.
