Admission:
I was a dropper student but didn't prepare well for JEE. I barely qualified mains and appeared for the advanced but did not clear it. Being a general candidate, I got very few colleges but did not want to compromise the branch. I wanted to pursue Computer Science. CUSAT conducts its own entrance exam CAT which includes questions on PCM with more weightage given to maths. Since my maths is very strong, I easily cleared the exam with a rank 893 and I got allotted IT first, then CS in spot round.
Admission:
The admission is Cochin University of science and technology is completely through CAT entrance exam .Board marks are not required.The cutoff rank is about 3000 for btech ECE,CS,IT.The cutoff rank of civil and mech goes upto 10000

- The vastness of the campus is sometimes bad

This college has been rank one of the best ranking systems and as very prestigious Pedigree. One of the oldest and trusted universities all over kerala and india. The culmination of the campus is jovial

- We have to be in uniform during classes in college.
- We have to maintain the attendance percentage to write University exams .

The overall campus atmosphere was very good. The placement in this college was good. The admission procedure are as per the cat ranklist. Based on the ranklist each category will be provided a cutoff rank for each branch .All the relevant information related to admission process will be provided in the college website . Check the website regular for any updates in the admission process. You will have submit certain certificates like migration certificate, transfer certificate, caste certificate etc during admission process .

1- this is a university campus so we can get large exposure here 2-syllabus here is very fantastic 3-the reputation among different collages is high towards cusat 4-close to my home so i can easily travel to campus

- There are many experienced and expertised teachers in each department. Many of them are supportive ones. The campus provides a good environment for studying and other extra curricular activities. Also the cusat certificate is more valuable than othe
- The certificate have equalisation with the other univerdity certificates

- Some of the teachers are very strict. They did not teach perfectly but they want perfect answers from students.
- The fee structure is more expensive than other engineering govt colleges
Admission:
I got many conformations from other colleges but i chose this one because of its value.. The admission to my college is through cat entrance examination. And the last rank lists differs in each academic year and you can check it on official website.

- They increase the fee sem by sem without a prior notice and wont tell us for what they have increased the fee.
- Poor infrasture facilities in the college. Inspite of huge amount of fee they dont provide us with any facilities.

We have to write CUSAT CAT exam. They we need to qualify the exam. Subject include Maths Phy and Chem. Exam is easy compared to JEE. We need to get a particular mark to come in rank list. For those whose rank is below 4000 will get for allotment. Others can take part in spot admission. You will get admission in spot admission

- Cusat soe gives a great a campus life with various clubs and activities that provide a rich college experience. However, there are complaints about the lack of proper canteen facilities and issues with stray animals on campus.
Admission:
The admissions process is based on the cusat Entrance exam(Cusat CAT) On the basis of cat rank the allotment process takes. The eligible students can apply for the allotment process and they can arrange and remove courses. if you have any reservation, you can avail that reservation for admission. The first three allotments were online and last, there was a real-time admission on cusat campus. After the admission process was completed, there was a spot admission for vacant seats.

What would I get with a rank of 6000 in the CUSAT main campus (SOE)?
Your chances are pretty slim of getting to the main campus. But then you can always take a shot and go sit for the spot rounds that take place. Make sure you don’t miss that.
My friend get into the Mechanical branch even when he had a rank of 8000. It was even before the NRI quota was introduced. But as you may understand, this was just an exception in the odds. The competition gets tougher and tougher each year and with your rank, I am really worried you may not end up getting it.
But yes, a silver lining for you would be that you may stand a chance at their second campus and that too, for the IT branch. You have certain possibilities here.

Unfortunately, you cannot as the college CUST Ernakulam doesn’t offer M.tech courses in online mode to the students.
