SNGIST Courses and Admission

Admissions to UG and PG programs of SNGIST will be done through the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam. However, admissions to B.Tech., MCA and MBA will be done on the basis of required entrance Exams: JEE Mains (for B.Tech.), Kerala CEE MCA (for MCA) and MAT/ CMAT/ CAT/ GMAT (for MBA).

SNGIST Placement

The Central Placement Cell of SNGIST trains the students and provide them with opportunities to get placed in leading MNC’s. Students across all the disciplines undergo career counseling by the professional counselors. The placement cell conducts various activities & workshops such as resume writing, interview skills, group discussions, aptitude tests and mock interviews for the candidates. I have applied to UC college, aluva. But i got admissions to sngist college. I have completed my bachelors in biotechnology from st marys college,Thrissur. And applied for my masters in several colleges including sngist. There are no other competent exams for admissions. Eligibility for this course is BSC biotechnology for a cutoff of 55%.

Life in my college

Likes

One thing I personally like is programs like arts day, onam celebration, christmas celebration are celebrated very festivaley and grand.

Dislikes

The quality of infrastructure is very bad. when there is a rain , there will be water inside the building. The cleaning staff are always mopping around because of this. The college is situated far away from bus stop and we have to walk kms everyday
Campus life is very boring, morelike there is no campus , no sitting place . Only green grass with scorching hot.

Admission:

This college was my 4th option and my parents just want a college near our home . So i don't have to stay in a hostel(even though,i was okay with staying). In first allotment I got a call from this college and went for admission.there was also a simple interview. I got this college through merit quota and doesn't have any knowledge about the college. From the first week I got bored of this college. Admission process was good and they explained about the college and course scopes .

Good Infrastructure : The classrooms, labs, library and all are well equiped.

Dislikes

Less programs & events : Unlike art colleges, programs conducted are very less.
Fine System : For matters like late attendence, even for less than 5 minutes, fines are imposed.

Admission:

It good college to having good facility and good friend which help me to do my homework when it is need and also the assignment to be submitted by fellow mate of my class and also give me motivation when need.
