Course Curriculum Overview

4

Professor always says that we have small syllabus and we need to study out of syllabus for our knowledge.the frequency and timing of exam are always correct. But in accordance of practical exams , there are times that internal exams and practical comes together is kind of difficult to study.

Internships Opportunities

4

Since i am just 2nd year. I don't get the internship opportunities. According to our seniors, the college or department doesn't provide the internship or projects contacts, we have to find it ourselves which is difficult. But they help us if we have any trouble with finding the companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is Rs 19,500 (merit quota) for one semester and we have to pay Rs 27,500 in admission. Comparing to other courses, our fees is high since it is self financing course. You have to pay building fees and other deposit s for management quota. The admission fees (27,500/-)includes tuition fees(19,500/-), caution deposit (5000/-), registration fees(3,000/-). This fee structure may change according to coming years. Also we have to pay PTA fund and SAF . They also provide fees consideration for community,sc, obc quotas.

Campus Life

4

Arts day are celebrated very grandly in every year. Every celebration are conducted as 2 days programs. they never forget to give the festive vibes.sports day are conducted and give awards for the winners. Library with educational and good writings books are provided.we can bring the Book to our home if you have library card .

Admission

This college was my 4th option and my parents just want a college near our home . So i don't have to stay in a hostel(even though,i was okay with staying). In first allotment I got a call from this college and went for admission.there was also a simple interview. I got this college through merit quota and doesn't have any knowledge about the college. From the first week I got bored of this college. Admission process was good and they explained about the college and course scopes .

Faculty

5

Faculty and student relationship is the only thing good in that college. They are always good and welcoming in their own way. Teach us and tell us about thier experiences and extra syllabus classes are given. Overall department faculties members are like this , good to students. As for the best faculty, i definitely vote for our bioscience department. Internal exams are conducted in every semester. The marks vary for core(40) and complementary paper(30). The university exams are also conducted correctly. The syllabus are completed and revision are also completed before the external exam. In the first semester our class had 100% pass .

Interview Experience

5

There were no written test for the admission. They just simply ask our name and personal detials and checked my plus two marks and asked my hobbies and extracurriculum activities. I just went there with my documents and they explained about the college facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
