Course Curriculum Overview

2

In my opinion, the exams shouldnt be this much tougher. These are very tough and the time for study is less. So basically it is good to make exans a little bit easier or scheduling the exams by giving much time for students.

Internships Opportunities

4

I havent participated in internships but internships are done in every vacations. Even abroad internships are provided under the placement cell of our college. Companies like infopark are offering internships.

Placement Experience

5

From 6th semester, students are eligible for placements. Our college has the best placement cell in kerala. Around 30% students are placed each year in our college. Companies like federal bank, infopark invites students from our college for their interviews. The degree mark is not considered, all we have to is just pass the subject and obey the rules of the placement cell.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am studying an aided course, so i dont have to pay tution fees. All i have to pay is the registration and admission fees which is around 5000 rupees. We have to pay 10000 total as caution deposit and admission fees. Around 500 rupees is collected as lab fees from students who have practicals.there is also self financing block in our college. Their fees varies according to their courses. It is from 60000-100000 lakh per annum. Scholarships like inspire are awarded for eligible students.

Campus Life

3

Tech fests and other programmes are mainly conducted in even semesters of the academic year which is from November to February. Our college has a great library established 2 years ago spending around 3 crores. Sports and co currucular activites and clubs are there in thr college. All we do not have is campus.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms provides 2 bedstands, 2 chairs, 2 tables for double rooms and single these things for single rooms. Meal quality is poor like all other colleges. Registration should be done by coming to the hostel block itself. It is just 100 metres away from aided block and just next to self financing block, so easily affordable and transportation for students.

Admission

I got admission in keralavarma college and i joined there, but when i got a call from here i suddenly withdrew my tc and came to st thomas. The academic brilliance here is exceptional. Campus life is somewhat a little bit boring because of the town atmosphere but the college is absolutely enjoyable. The admission procedure is nothing other than publishing ranklist accordung to the +2 marks. Anr also self financing courses are there.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 48:1.most of the teachers are very friendly towards their students while a minor part is less friendly. Our class teacher is mathew sir and he is the best friendliest teacher in our college. That is irreplaceable. Lucky to have him as the class teacher. The one who i dont like is our principal. His rules are somewhat like school rules. That should be moved. There are 2 semester exams in am academic year. Comparing to university exams our exams are quite difficult. Many students struggle to pass in the exams.

Interview Experience

5

No, just our marks are the criteria for the admission. If we have good marks in plus 2 board examinations, we can easily get admission in the college.just a small communication is done with the class teacher, hod and principal.

Night Life

2

The time in which hostel gate closses is 7pm. Campus time is 9-3pm class time and 4:00pm gate clossing. That is also a negative. Students cant stay in college for a bit longer. College is located in thrissur centre. Near swaraj round. Its in the town itself, so it is easily affordable to come and go and transportation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
