Fees and Financial Aid

If you are a SC/ST applicant, then your entire tuition will be reimbursed. If you belong ro non-reserved category, you will have to pay roughly Rs.70000 per semester(which varies from semester to semester). As in an academic year there are 2 semsters, the fee per year becomes roughly around Rs.1.5 Lakh. This is an accumulative fee including tuition fee and all other miscellaneous fees. So,the total coyrse fees come around Rs.700000.For the SC/ST categories, you will just have to pay the miscellaneous fees which will come around Rs.4000 per year. There are many scholarships both govt. and non-govt. which the students can avail on merit basis. Some of them are:- 1)Ishan Uday Merit Scholarship-Rs.80000 per year. 2)NEC Merit Scholarship-Rs.22000 per year. A dedicated scholarship section is there in the campus, where they help you to apply for scholarships and also to enquire details about them.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1:50.Student faculty relationship is very well versed. They are easily appraochable and individual doubt clearing sessions are common.Interacting with faculties regarding academic as well as personal hardships are encouraged. In my department all faculties are good.Exams are conducted twice a semster i.e one mid sem exam and one end sem exam. There are class test during the semester which go on for internal markings.Mid sem has a total of 20 marks and end sem has a total of 50 marks.Rest 30 marks are evaluated on internals.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum follows and covers all integral and precise components related to the respective streams. Course structures get branched into cores and subcores as one progresses further into the discipline. Newer areas such as discipline electives and cores spring up which focus particularly on the core parts of the stream in an attempt to enforce proper knowledge of the subject into the students' mind. Teaching methods are hybridised, embibed with a touch of both digital and age old whiteboard teaching tactics. Quizzes and Digital Assesments are conducted regularly in order to keep a check on the students' in depth knowledge about the particular subject

Campus Life

Club and social life on the college is extremely pleasent and diverse. Due to the presence of people from various diverse backgrounds we almost get to meet a person from every race and ethnicity leading to our own knowledge enhancement about their community. A variety of clubs and chapters present within the campus makes available for a student to join one on the basis of his/her interest and mingle with like minded folks sharing ideas for newer endeavours. Library acts as a great source of knowledge hub for geeks who are eager in their academic pursuits, since it provides access to over 1 lakh+ books and proper air conditioned facilities.

It would have been better if we had higher CG... It has been too tough to achieve the required CGPA for placement. If I talk of the senior batches, the placement scenario was quite good. Many renowned companies like Google, Microsoft gave on campus opportunities to us

Course Curriculum Overview

Every semester was of a very small time like 4months.It would have been better if it was more. Also we need to have the minimum CGPA to sit for placements which many of us don't have currently. We be grateful if the CGPA increases

Faculty

In FISAT, teachers are good but some are very strict. They make us study a lot and give homework. Some teachers teach very nice, and we can understand everything. But a few just talk fast, and it’s hard to follow. Most teachers know their subjects, but some are not so good at explaining. The course has 8 parts called semesters. First year, all students study the same subjects like maths and physics. From the second year, we study subjects for our branch. In Electronics and Instrumentation, we learn about circuits, sensors, and machines. In the last year, we do a project, which is fun but also a little hard. There are two types of exams. First, we have small exams called internals, and we write two of them in each semester. These marks are added with our attendance. Then we have the big university exam at the end, where we have to study all chapters. Marks are given like this: 20% is from internal exams and attendance, and 80% is from the big exam. To pass, we need at least 40%. Teachers are very serious about attendance, and if we don’t have enough, we can’t write the exam. FISAT is a nice college, and teachers are helpful. But we must work hard because the course is not very easy. Still, it’s interesting if you like to learn.

Fees and Financial Aid

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering" in FISAT is good for students who like to study circuits, sensors, and automation. The fees is little high for management seat, around 1 lakh per year, but for merit seat, it’s less, about 75k yearly. The hostel also cost extra, near 60-70k per year, depending on the room. Scholarship helps if you score well in KEAM or if you are from SC/ST or OBC category. Some students who are poor can also apply for financial help, but they must be quick. For full 4 years, the fees is about 3-4.5 lakh, depending on merit or management. But fees goes up a bit every year, like 5-10%. The EIE department has ok placements, but not as high as CS or IT. Companies like instrumentation firms and automation companies come, but students must also do internships to get better jobs. Labs and faculty are good, but some people think practical exposure should improve. Overall, EIE at FISAT is good if you are interested in this field, but you need to work hard for placements.

I have completed my graduation in VNR VJIET. The fee structure without any scholarship is 1,41,700/- including micellenous fee. This college also gives priority for sports and extra- curriculur activities. The institute has many clubs for dance, singing and drawing activities. It provides placements with average salary package of 3lpa/4lpa. It also provides internships within the college not outside the college.

Placement Experience

I'm from EIE branch , we got less placements due to the more priority for IT sector for CSE students. U think more and more placements should be offered for other electronic branch students also go get more name from all other colleges.

The time gap between the 3 exams are very less. The areas of improvement is that the teachers must slow down their pace of teaching and give their students the time to catch up and they should not give them much pressure

We have a student teacher ratio of 1:20. As like most of the colleges some teachers will be very approachable and supportive. In my department I love teachers named Sreevidhya, beenu riju, sundharajan,Anil Johny etc.. they are very talented and provides us with so many opportunities. They are the best faculties. There are some other facilities like Raji p whom I don't like because they don't even don't treat children in a good way. There will be 6 subjects in the first 6 semesters and 4 subjects in next 2 semesters. We need a 40 percent marks to pass the exam. The difficulty level is medium. Interested students can also pursue minor and honours degree. Course curriculum for the new scheme is very relevant compared to the older one.

Placement Experience

Campus placements starts from 7th semester. FISAT holds a very good placement status. It ranks among the top 6 colleges in Kerala. There are lots of companies coming which includes IBM,TCS, Schneider electric, cognizant, Accenture, tata elexsi,ey and many more. Offers ranges from 4 to 15 lpa. Companies like cadence offers 15 lpa which is the highest paid job offer. Almost 90 percent of the eligible students will get placed from the campus itself and we will get a lot of opportunities from college itself even after graduation.

Ques. Which is better: Electronics and Instrumentation in BITS Pilani or Computer Science in BITS Goa or Hyderabad? Why?

● Top Answer By Divya Saraf on 05 Aug 23

Ans. The decision should be completely based on your interests. It is always better to choose a course that has ample opportunities; otherwise, you will end up jobless. You have to maintain a good CGPA to get a placement here since the competition level is very high. BITS Pilani is comparatively better at academics and placement support than BITS, Goa, or Hyderabad. When it comes to the selection of the course, Electronics and Instrumentation are a bit difficult for scoring a good CGPA. After this course, you are open to both CSE and EEE fields for your higher studies (based on the electives you have selected). CSE is comparatively better, which opens up  high opportunities and BITS across India provides placement support for students with good CGPA So, choose wisely based on your interests.Read more

Ques. What is the difference between EEE, EnI and ECE at BITS, Pilani?

● Top Answer By Prateek Sharma on 05 Aug 23

Ans. BITS Pilani does not offer an Electronics and Communication Engineering Program. When comes to ENL and EEE, there are some key points you should keep in mind as an applicant, which are listed below Opportunities – In the current scenario, EEE opens up more opportunities than ENL. For Instance, the Indian Engineering Examination is only applicable to students from ECE and EEE Campus – BITS Pilani is far better than BITS Hyderabad as they have well-equipped lab and infrastructure Placement – The three batches can sit for the placement, but the companies give more weight to Communication and Digital Signal Processing So, it is better to choose EEE than ENL at BITS Pilani.Read more

Ques. How good are the placements and packages for electronics and instrumentation in BITS Pilani?

● Top Answer By Prakash Singh on 14 May 24

Ans. When it comes to the BITS Pilani campus, the scope of getting placed at top companies is huge. First, let me tell you about the placement process that is followed by BITS Pilani.  The placements are divided into two semesters for all three campuses. You will have to choose which semester you want to sit for placements by the end of the third year. Normally, students who sit for the first semester have a CGPA above 8 and those who sit for the second semester have a CGPA in the range of 6 to 8.  Mostly, those who have less than 8 CGPA do not get to sit for placements in the first semester. The job offers from the recruiters are good. About 15-20 companies visit the college for both semesters.  However, your opportunities are better if you get to sit for the first semester. So, try to maintain a CGPA above 8.Read more

Ques. How many marks are required to get an admission in NIT Warangal CSE, IT or in the electronics branch?

● Top Answer By Shivani Singh on 19 Aug 23

Ans. To get admission into NITW, you need to secure a certain rank in the JEE Mains exam.  These are the closing ranks for round 6 of JoSAA counseling to get admission into these branches at NIT Warangal, for 2023: Course Quota  Seat-Type Gender Closing Rank CSE HS Open Gender-neutral 3115 CSE OS Open Gender-neutral 2413 ECE HS Open Gender-neutral 6516 ECE OS Open Gender-neutral 5814 ECE (VLSI) HS Open Gender-neutral 7103 ECE (VLSI) OS Open Gender-neutral 7047 EEE HS Open Gender-neutral 11388 EEE OS Open Gender-neutral 9265 Out of the branches mentioned by you, NIT Warangal does not provide B.Tech IT. You can also check the 2023-2024 cutoffs of other branches and categories for NITW However, I would like to tell highlight a few things- Electronics and Electrical value your ability to remember random figures rather than polishing your technical knowledge.  The syllabus and question paper for both these courses is below par at NIT Warangal. The syllabus for them is outdated. Placements are high at NITW, but software profiles are mostly offered.  Most students start coding from their pre-final year because of low placement chances in the core companies of other disciplines.  The college infrastructure and hostel facilities may disappoint you.  Government colleges other than IIT D, B, and K are lagging behind in reality. They have subpar infrastructure and their administration is old and rigid. They offer no extra support and opportunities to their students. All of this combined with the rigorous academic schedule causes plenty of frustration. Read more

Ques. How is instrumentation and control in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal?

● Top Answer By Kalyani Shankar on 09 Sept 23

Ans. The Instrumentation and Control Engineering branch at MIT Manipal is a multifaceted branch dealing with various subjects related to Electrical, Electronics, and mechanical. Students are taught about sensors, transducers, electrical and mechanical instruments, microcontrollers, control systems, process automation, etc. The branch is good and its labs are equipped with modern instruments. The faculty is decent and the placement scenario seems very promising. One of my friends recently completed his BTech in instrumentation and control and gave me an active idea of the placement scenario of the branch. Out of the entire batch around 95% of students got placed. The highest package stood at INR 20 LPA and the average stood at INR 10 LPA while the lowest was recorded at INR 5 LPA. The star recruiters included Mercedes, Flipkart, Amazon, and Nvidia among many others. Overall, this branch is great if you are interested in this field.Read more

Ques. How is instrumentation and control at NSIT - infrastructure, faculty, course content, scope, placement and research opportunities?

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 23 Aug 23

Ans. Here is all the information about ICE at NSUT Delhi- Faculty - The ICE faculty is a mixed bag. There are some teachers who teach really well and their classes are enjoyable. However, there are some strict ones as well. Some do not care about their subject or the students at all. Coursework - The ICE coursework is fine and gives you ample time to pursue your interests. Infrastructure - NSUT Delhi has undergone infrastructural changes recently. This is because it has gained University status. The college library is centrally air-conditioned. ICE shares most of its labs with the Electronics and Computers branches. The labs are well-equipped. Placements - Placements are less as compared to COE/IT branches. Few companies offer jobs to ICE students, especially for Core job profiles. Generally, DRs and people with exceptional profiles are placed in ICE. Internship offers are also less for this department. Research- ICE students are actively involved in research work. The ICE faculty encourages students to participate in research. Students also work under DTU, IIT Delhi, and IIIT Delhi teachers. ICE students work on around 3-4 projects while at NSUT Delhi. Scope - ICE students drift from their core stream to a programming job or an MBA. Some also prepare for an MS.  This is all the information about the ICE branch at NSIT Delhi.Read more
