Rajasthan Technical University is located in Kota in the state of Rajasthan. It was established in 2006 by the Government of Rajasthan which currently affiliates about 68 Engineering Colleges, 03 B.Arch, 16 MCA Colleges, 39 MBA Colleges, 31 M.Tech Colleges, 01 M.Arch and 01 Hotel Management and Catering Institute.

Rajasthan Technical University, Kota Admissions

Admission to all UG and PG courses except BHMCT are entrance based. Admissions to B.Tech courses are based on REAP scores, however preference is given to JEE Mains candidates. Similarly NATA scores(followed by REAP counselling) are acceptable for B.Arch admissions. Also, admissions to M.Tech and M.Arch are based on RTU CAM. For MBA courses, RMAT/ CMAT scores are acceptable. MCA and Ph.D courses are offered on the basis of RMCAAT and RTU DAT(followed by PI) scores.

How to Apply?

Application mode is online. Below mentioned are the steps to be followed:

Fill the details asked to register yourself.
After successful registration, candidates will receive user id and password.
Log into your module and fill the application form. Submit once done.
Proceed to fee payment of INR 1000 which can be paid online mode using Debit/ Credit card or through Demand Draft

T&P Cell of RTU provides training to the students for aptitude and reasoning, group discussion, presentations, technical and HR interviews. The members of the cell invite professionals to give training to the students. Selection Process: The interested students have to appear for the Aptitude Test (written test) followed by a Group Discussion round and an Interview. The students who qualify for the Technical Interview and HR Interview round with their potential will get the offer letter.

Library: The central library of Rajasthan Technical University is one of the richest and well-equipped university libraries in India. It is well connected with LAN & Wi-Fi and is open for its students and teaching staff. The library has the subscription of research journals. An Honest review of the university campus of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota

Likes

The college campus is very large and we have very much mean time to spend on ourself
The girls to boys ratio is quite good. it is about 65:35
The infrastructure of new buildings is quite good

Dislikes

The management department of college is very bad.
The result is declared after 4 to 5 months which is a considerable delay in the result declaration
The labs of CS departments are deprecated

Students view on course curriculum

The some part of curriculam of the college is very outdated , which need to be updated soon. As the DSA is still taught in C and OOPs in C++ and there is no subject related to the ML and DS The frequency of the examination is in every 1.5 month The curriculam is not enough to prepare us for the real world problems. The curriculam don't have any specific thing that influenced me to take the course

Various companies recruiting from the campus, average and highest package being offered

The students after the 6th semester are eligible for the campuse placements The companies visited this year are IBM, Reliance Industries, MiniOrange, tcs, Honda etc. The highest package is 43LPA and average is 5LPA The percentage of placements is about 70percent My plans after the getting the degree is to get the placement

Various events, clubs and facilities available in the college

There are two major fests THAR a techno Management fest which is the Rajasthan's biggest Tech fest and another is a cultural fest "Anukriti", they are typically conducted in December and March. There are plenty of books and journals available in the college library which is accessible by every student of the college and there is a Wifi facility in the library also. There are projector facilities in the classrooms and the infrastructure is quite good for the classrooms The sports activity is quite bad . There are about 20 clubs which are driven by students and approximately each club have its room but for other clubs the SAC Building construction is under process , The clubs have a very good impact on the student life

Facilities provided in the college hostel

The Hostel rooms are quite spacious, the meal quality is good good, and menu is decided by the mess commtee of students, the registration process is very simple. Everyone is given to option to choose whether he need hostel or not and on the basis of the rank in REEP, hostel is alloted In each room only light is provided The hostel is quite affordable, For pg the locality is the Dadabari, shivpura, and RK puram

What are students views about their faculties?

The faculties are guide good and supportive , the faculty to student ratio is about 1:24. The best faculty i liked in the colleges are guest faculties (Gowri Mam, Preeti Mam, SD Purohit Sir, Kritika Sharma Mam, Nirmala Mam, SC Jain Sir) as they are very suupportive.s I think there is no good and bad faculty in the college There are 2 internal examinations and 1 external examination in a semester and the difficulty level of the examination is the medium

Admission process and eligibility criteria

The time i have applying for the course approximately all counsellings are closed and only REEP is left and in that counselling the best college available is that according to the overall placements, infrastructure and faculty, I have also applied to other colleges but i think it is better than this one The admission process is the REEP and LEEP , and the eligibility is the above 45 percent in 12th and the most prefereed examination is the JEE Main , and the cutoffs for the admission this yeaar is 94percentile for the CSE of general category. I have also got selected in the other colleges but i think that it is better than that.

Night Life

The gymnasium is open after 5pm to 8pm and the cafeteria is open from the 10am to 8pm and library is open till 5pm and remain off on each saturday, The hostel in timings are till 10pm at night and out timings from the college is 8pm The famous hangout place in the college is viewpoin , it is locally safe for all

I choose this college above all other colleges that i was getting because it was a tier 1 college among all the colleges and also it's an totally government colllege so it's also better than getting any private colleges that too with not having tier 1 tag and also here i found the campus as big as a NIT , I got other colleges also but they in some things lacks with this college such as placements , teacher to student ratio, campus area etc

I applied to many colleges and got eligible very easily but one thing that i liked about rtu was that the number of student intake was quite less, this encouraged placements. Rtu is a 3 tier college, which had been very reputed for decades, It's earlier name was Engineering college kota, you can search for its reviews.

Likes

The campus of college is very good. There are constitutional park and CS park and all the facilities are available there.
College are hosting events in 2 or 3 months regularly. And there are no issue for funds.
In the college all clubs like musical club, dance club , dsa club etc activate.

Dislikes

The process of working and approval is very slow.
The infrastructure of college are very low.
The ratio of girls and boys in lower branch of college like p&I , petroleum are very low.

Admission:

I applied mbm college jodhpur, gec ajmer and rtu college in reap counselling. This college is better than other government college because it is not only college, it is University. And the avg placement is over than other choose college except mbm jodhpur college. I were going into mbm college jodhpur but my reap rank is high that is the reason I did not get in this college. The admission process is very simple. First give jee exam and apply for the reap counselling than you got a rank . By this reap rank you are get this college.

I dislike the behaviour of some people because some people are very rude and arrogant

I applied it to more colleges and I also get selected in one but I didn't want to go there because there the fees was very much and here I find the fees affordable and also we don't have to give any exam fees the cutoff is also good also the placement history is good

Everone here is full of creative thoughts and high aims which provides a good competitive environment
what I like most about my college is it's peaceful and healthy environment ,clean campus .The hygiene is well maintained and grenry all over the campus with fresh air.
The classroom environment is healthy and peaceful .The education quality is too good.

Dislikes

The college wifi sometimes disappoints us.
Lack of library books for other courses..

Admission:

I applied to different other colleges along with RCEW but i chose Rcew over any other college because it is well structures and provide scholarships for girl candidates. -its affordable -strong faculty and infrastructure. -location and accessibility. Admission process- -eligibility :10+2 with pcm -exams accepted:Jee Main,Jee advance,state entrance exam. -cutoffs:vary every year but generally around 50-60%.

The girls and boys ratio is something about 60:40
I liked the campus . It is very big open area and greenry is everywhere.
Infrastructure quality is good some departments are newly or recently made.

Dislikes

As the college is in outer city of kota so you have to travel so far from railway station to college

Admission:

I applied to colleges like MBM jodhpur, CTAE Udaipur, and RTU Kota. I get rejection from the upper two because of my jee percentile i got 93 percentile and for that i only got admission to Rtu Kota. Admission process is simple you have to apply to REAP Counselling to get this college . It accepts applications from 12th pass and jee mains students

What is appreciated about college is their focus on academics not every private college focus on academics but they do and it's great if we compare to other private colleges.
The campus is just fine it have different blocks for first year and others also have two garden to hangout and a basket ball court.

Dislikes

There isn't a very good college life like as I said they are mainly focusing on academics so events aren't that good as they can be
Campus isn't big enough so you barely get any place to roam around with your friends

Admission:

So i took this college because I was desparate to get one at that time we often take decision in haste but this one if i had to chose from the private colleges it's the good one for academics maybe not good for college life and events but yes the students can feel the academic vibes from it.The admission process through I get it was reap I applied and I got it you can apply directly as well.I don't know if I can compare it to other colleges but they are pretty good as also security that I noticed the events are well organised.

College fest is amazing and they invite big celebrities.
Our college have basketball ground to play.

Dislikes

Campus area is small, it has more floors.
They don't have great ventilation in the class.

My engagement in college is good and my social campus life is very good.

C I want to be a little away from the city, I want to be away from the city area
The campus area is small but I wanted it to be bigger The placement is very good in the college. Every year companies come to the college and provide good placements.
There are less fests and there is no AC in the class

Admission:

I am select for vit campus because i did not go there is a high fees structure and in this college the fee structure is good for middle family For rajasthan students you have fill the real counselling form for admission there is a college for this process and for outside of the Rajasthan student there is a JEE mandatory examination for the admission

How can I get a transcript from Rajasthan Technical University? Also how do I calculate my GPA based on the percentage?

Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) issues Official Transcripts through Post. You have to apply physically at Kota. If not possible, tell someone to do it on your behalf.

Make sure the following documents are ready :

All your Mark Sheet (1st Sem - 8th Sem).
Migration Certificate.
Soft copy of the transcript format. (They have only US transcript format).
Fill the Application form for issuing a transcript.
Copy of mark sheets of all semesters issued during the course.
Copy of Consolidated mark sheet and Provisional degree certificate and Degree Certificate.
Copy of mark sheet of class 10 or Birth Certificate and Photocopy of Personal ID.

Go to the RTU office Kota and write an application and attach a copy of all the above-mentioned documents along with a soft copy of the transcript format. They will give you the hard copy of the transcript in 1-2 hours. The price is around INR 600 for the transcript.

All the instructions are mentioned on the website. You will get the required number of transcripts directly to your doorstep within 10–15 days, so try planning it early.

Yes, you can avail the benefits of scholarships at Rajasthan Technical University. Scholarships are provided by the National Rajasthan Scholarship scheme by govt and approved by the college then students get scholarships. Check out the website for more information.
