Likes
- This year, veg mess food quality is better than other messes.
- Campus is very big. Lot of clubs are there to explore yourself.
- You can play any sports. Gym and swimming pool is also available. In every hostel we have a "Kaam Chalau Gym".
Dislikes
- Seems like people are more focused in core engineering. A lot of students prepare for gate.
- Coding culture could be improved. You have to be in a good friend circle.
- Academics is quite far from boy's hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is quite hectic, you have to do a lot of time management. PT and TP pattern is follwed each subsequent year. In PT you have labs in morning session and in afternoon you have theory classes.
Internships Opportunities
I got an internship in DRDO. I got a good prject, it helped in enhancing my technical skills. The internship was unpaid but I was fortunate to get one. Because getting an internship is difficult. You have to maintain a good cgpa plus gain technical knowledge.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good in our college. You get a lot of opportunity. If you stay consistent, you can get a good placement (10 lpa). The placements for circuital branches (cs, ec, ei, ee) are better than other branches.
Fees and Financial Aid
In a year we have 2 semesters (spring & autumn) and in each semester I have to pay around 40-50k depending upon varying mess fees since I avail tution fee wavier. My friend who doesn't avail tution fee wavier pays around 1 lac each semester. There are various scholarships you can apply for.
Campus Life
Clubs are decent. All depends in your interest. Some of the clubs require a lot of time. If you want to develop a new hobby in college, it will be difficult. But you can get a good platform for your existing hobbies.
Hostel Facilities
you get a get double room, with a chair and a table. The rooms in upper floors are unbearable in summer. Mess food is shitty as well as good but for you can get food in canteens also. There are 2 big malls in rourkela, you can go for hangout sometimes.
Admission
This college is nearer to my home so I chose this college over other colleges. I would not go out of state for college and it is the best college in Odisha that's why I preffered this collge over other colleges of Odisha.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is fine, if you are interested in learning and ready to learn they can actually help you and refer you. In college you can free time to explore, which is a limitation in our college. Our college focuses much more in academics. If you are a core enthusiast you will cherish.
Night Life
Sometimes management becomes strict but in most of the time is quite cool. Night life is fun if you have good friends. You can make a lot of memories, you will never forget in your life. You can spend in clubs.
