The frequency and timing of the exam is well structured and planned to avoid stress. The curriculum is updated but AI topics are only in development ,the elective subjects could be improved and the choices are few. the curriculum blends with theoritical depth with practical exposure .Each semester is carefully balanced with core subjects, electives and projects .

Hostel Facilities

4

There is high speed wifi about 400mbps inside the room there is a fan ,a bed, table and storage space to each there a 3 people and 4 people rooms. The mess quality is not the best poor for non odisha students menu is diverse but veg cuisine is unmanageable but as the mess fee is weekly you can opt out and there is pay n eat option too u dont need to pay prior everytime, hostel fees is included in the normal semester fee payment and it is value for money as it includes laundry and daily cleaning too hostels are well maintained too.

Admission

My rank was about 63000 in jee mains and i think with my rank this was the best option. My results werent as good as i was expecting but i scouted out this college already ,I went through Josaa and CSAB to get the admission for odisha students i think there is special gateway too. The cutoffs are increasing everi year as the demand exceeds shows the development of the college and more people are coming from far away states each year in cluding kerala , tamilnadu, punjab, Madhya Pradesh. I got admission in BITS, IIST but i chose this college for better value for money and better placement purposes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* I had chosen to do mechanical engineering because I had some bond with machines and it's designing and was also aware with the scopes of mechanical engineering. * In real world the curriculum helped me a lot and still it is helpful, currently I'm preparing for position of junior engineer and there it is quite helpful for me. * I don't think any improvement is required in the course curriculum and teaching methods as everything was good at its place and it's also the responsibility of us (students) to know our curriculum thoroughly and give our best. * Exams were conducted at an interval of 6 months and as said earlier exams conducted were moderate level not too difficult or easy and with studies it can be cleared easily

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
