Course Curriculum Overview
The course in FISAT is good but a little hard. It has many subjects to study, and some are very interesting. For EIE, we learn about circuits, machines, sensors, and how things work. It is useful if you like to make or fix machines. But some topics are very old and not used much now. They should teach more new things like robotics or new technology. The subjects are big and have too much to study sometimes. But it also has practical work in labs, which is fun and helps to understand better. The course is good for getting knowledge, but some parts feel not very needed. If you work hard and like the subjects, you can learn a lot. But they should add more new things to make it better for jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering" in FISAT is good for students who like to study circuits, sensors, and automation. The fees is little high for management seat, around 1 lakh per year, but for merit seat, it’s less, about 75k yearly. The hostel also cost extra, near 60-70k per year, depending on the room. Scholarship helps if you score well in KEAM or if you are from SC/ST or OBC category. Some students who are poor can also apply for financial help, but they must be quick. For full 4 years, the fees is about 3-4.5 lakh, depending on merit or management. But fees goes up a bit every year, like 5-10%. The EIE department has ok placements, but not as high as CS or IT. Companies like instrumentation firms and automation companies come, but students must also do internships to get better jobs. Labs and faculty are good, but some people think practical exposure should improve. Overall, EIE at FISAT is good if you are interested in this field, but you need to work hard for placements.
Campus Life
Campus life in FISAT is fun, but sometimes boring too. I make many friends and we talk a lot between classes. We play sports or eat in the canteen. It’s nice but sometimes studies take too much time. I joined music and robotics clubs. Music club is fun, but it takes a lot of time. Robotics is interesting, but a bit hard. The college has good buildings, labs, and a big library. Sports facilities are nice, but food in the canteen is sometimes not very good. Overall, campus is nice, but studies can be stressful. I enjoy the friends and clubs, but it’s hard to balance everything.
Admission
I choose FISAT because it is close to my home and has good courses. Also, my friends was going there, and I thought it will be fun. I also like the campus, it looks big and clean. The other colleges I applied was far from home, and some was very expensive. I think FISAT was best choice for me because it is not so far, and fees are ok. I did not get into some other colleges because I did not get enough marks in entrance exam. I could not study much because I was not very focused, and I didn’t prepare for the entrance exam very well. Some other colleges had higher cutoffs, so I could not get in. In FISAT, the admission process was not hard. I had to fill online form and then write KEAM entrance exam. After that, I waited for the result and saw I got a seat in the college. I also had to pay fees and give documents like marksheets and ID proof. It was simple, but I had to wait for my turn in counseling, which was a bit boring. Comparing FISAT to others, the campus is bigger and there is lot of extra activities like sports, fests, and clubs. But other colleges had better placements for some branches like CSE, and their fees was higher. But I am happy in FISAT because it is good for my branch and I like the environment.
Faculty
In FISAT, teachers are good but some are very strict. They make us study a lot and give homework. Some teachers teach very nice, and we can understand everything. But a few just talk fast, and it’s hard to follow. Most teachers know their subjects, but some are not so good at explaining. The course has 8 parts called semesters. First year, all students study the same subjects like maths and physics. From the second year, we study subjects for our branch. In Electronics and Instrumentation, we learn about circuits, sensors, and machines. In the last year, we do a project, which is fun but also a little hard. There are two types of exams. First, we have small exams called internals, and we write two of them in each semester. These marks are added with our attendance. Then we have the big university exam at the end, where we have to study all chapters. Marks are given like this: 20% is from internal exams and attendance, and 80% is from the big exam. To pass, we need at least 40%. Teachers are very serious about attendance, and if we don’t have enough, we can’t write the exam. FISAT is a nice college, and teachers are helpful. But we must work hard because the course is not very easy. Still, it’s interesting if you like to learn.
Night Life
Nightlife near FISAT is not very great or exciting. The college is in a quiet place, so there’s not much to do at night. After classes, most people just go to their hostels or home. Sometimes, we all go out for snacks or dinner in nearby small restaurants, but it’s not a party place. On weekends, some of us watch movies or go to the mall in nearby town, but that’s about it. There’s no big clubs or hangout spots like in big cities. So, nightlife is really chill and simple, not much to do, just some friends and food.
