the smart note system is very appreciable. the air conditioned class rooms needed.
most of the faculty members are highy experienced and well qualified. they have phd degree. they are teach the subjects in a very nice manner. the mentoring practices are also very good.

Dislikes

Non A/C Class Rooms are the one of the main negative
Lack of car parking facilities and elecetric vehicle charging point

appropriate syllabus and modern topics. the practicals are also wonderful. teaching is succeed through structured smart note. every student ensurre the pass percentage. module exams are very helpful to attain good score in university exam.

Amazing intrenship opportunity was experienced from my side. i did my internship at Adhani airpot thiruvanathapuram. it has a paid internship. i got 7000 rupees as stypend from adhani. they were offerd a job opportunity to me.

Placement Experience

in the mid of 8th semester I got placement in Indigo airline. I got three offering letters from three companies, but I select Indigo. because Indigo offer me more than nine lakhs as the annual salary.in my class whole students got placement in various organisationa in india and abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Toms college of Engineering Mattakara is a the best college in kerala. this college offers varietey of courses like aeronatical engineering, chemical engineering, artificial intellegence and data science, computer science and engineering, BBA,BCA,B.Sc Cyber Forensics etc. the fees is very minimum, only Rs 37500/ no caution deposit , no admission fees. Lab, Library , College facilities, college bus are excellent and modern.Sc, St, OEC, OBC category students avail all government grants and fund. they are studying free of cost. along with these financial benefits, the college promoting agency is also provide croes of rupees as scholarship. my all friends are getting different types of scholarship and fees concession from toms college. we like this college. we suggest this college.

Campus Life

Toms ignite the annual technical festival conducted every year in the campus. arts fest, auto show, RC plane show, isro, vssrc exhibitions are also arranged in the campus. our modern libary contains two parts, digital library and online journals; another sesction is reference library. both are super. lot of indoor and out door games are in here. open gym, football court, volly bal court etc are in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Excellent. spacious and neat rooms. separate study hall. delecious food. supply non veg food in all days. power laundry and iroing facilitiesa re also arranged. No need to enquire local accomodation. Wifi also available. TV, indoor games, library are in the hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 7000 per year

Admission

actually I focussed this college two years prior to jined here. most of the neighbour colleges were called me. but I stick on this college. so i like very much. this college provides ample opportunity to me.

Faculty

here the college maintain 1;15 ration between student faculty. Dr. Bindhu, Dr. G. Venugopal, Dr. Biju are the most facourate professors of me. Pfrof. Jobin John, Prof. Kiran. k. Murali are the two others in my favourate list there way of teaching is good

Night Life

Night life is an ordinary one. college authorities are very strict in discipline and behaviour in between the students. Hostel are closed before 6.00 pm. no one shall permit after 6.00pm to enter or exit from the hostel. but hostel are very spacious. all the aminities are arranged well.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.
