Should I join CUSAT or FISAT for CS engineering?

Both the Cochin University of Science And Technology (CUSAT) and Federal Institute of Science And Technology (FISAT) are very good institutes and have almost similar rankings in the state of Kerala. Now you can compare both the institutes on various parameters. I have taken two broad and the most popular parameters for this comparison. Placement - In this regard, the School of Engineering (SoE) of CUSAT is better than FISAT. According to the recent placement statistics, the average and highest CTC offered at CUSAT is 4 LPA and 15 LPA respectively. Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad (CUCEK) campus of CUSAT is also similar to SoE in terms of placements. Infrastructure - Here FISAT takes an upper hand and has better facilities than both SoE and CUCEK. SoE is slightly good and is comparable to FISAT but CUCEK lacks a lot of facilities compared to both. So it totally depends on you and what your priorities are. If you only aim for placements then choose CUSAT. If you want good infrastructure, then FISAT is preferable.

Im currently ith final year and yearly fees for me is 95000.For the NRI admission they are upto 180000 that its double.For the reserved students like sc/st,obc etc doesn't need to pay the fees that they are handled by the government.

Fees per year (2 sem) is 92000 and the total fee for the whole course will be 368000 and additional charges. All the tution fees, caution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees, and lab fees are all included in the mentioned amount.You can avail the fee depreciation by submitting Income certificates and other documents

I am paying 98000 per year. I am a state merit student under general category. I had to pay an extra 25000 as caution deposit.i have to pay 500 rupees as lab fees in every year.some of my friends took management seats.they have to pay 140000 per year.

classes are pacey and exam are more difficult for most students
exams for 50 mark are 1.5 hr that is not enough to finish all questions

I got a management seat in a private college so I have to pay 1.4L as fees yearly. Fees are constant. There are scholarships for government-seat students. They pay 90k per year. The payment is done by paying half fees per semester.

Basically this fee structure is much flexible based on our academic scores and entrance examination ranks. They used to provide scholarship to the students who maintain high CGPAs. Financial assessment is also provided for the economically weaker students.

A short story on my campus life.

I got the course by management quota which was around 1 and a half lakhs but I had 91% in plus two so I only had to pay 60 thousand rupees. The fees for students are at a constant hike in every period of time. The facilities they provide are also improving so we can't really complain about that matter.

Tution fee varies between courses selecetes and the type of admission if you have scholarships provided by the government there will only be a very small fees Other admissions will have a fees of 50k/sem which can gi upto 100k approximately

An overview on FISAT

The fee structure goes like 6lakh for 4 years of computer science and engineering. There are other small charges for the extra things. Every type of scholarships are available and students can claim it if they are eligible. FISAT does have a great campus employment rate and they are very good.

The college provides well mannered scholarships for those who shows excellence in academic aspects.Scholarships and dedecuctions are also given for students having sports quota.The total tuitions fees comes nearly 1.5lakhs without considering any reservations or quotas .The college also supports startup programmes and also helps to find the best help for them.
