NTA NEET UG Exam Advisory

NTA released an NEET UG exam advisory for students attending the NEET 2026 re-exam on June 21st.

As per the NTA NEET UG exam advisory, candidates are allowed to wear religious items such as hijabs, turbans, kalwas or similar items; however, you should report earlier to go through extra frisking.

NTA NEET UG exam advisory also advises students to wear light clothing with low-heeled slippers;
Students can carry a transparent water bottle and also a transparent pouch for admit card in case of rain.
Carrying any electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth accessories or earphones is banned as per the NAT NEET UG exam advisory.
As per the NTA NEET UG exam advisory on biometric verification, all candidates must go through compulsory biometric verification after the frisking but before entering the exam hall.

The NTA has released public notifications as part of the NEET UG exam advisory for the re-exam on June 21st.

NEET re-exam admit cards are now available on the official website. If you haven’t downloaded it already, download it and take a printout immediately.
As part of the NTA's security protocols, students need to report 60-90 minutes in advance for frisking.
The duration for the re-NEET is now increased by 15 minutes for procedures during the exam.

One of the most important parts of the NTA NEET UG exam advisory is what you can wear to the NEET exam centre. The main goal of this is to make frisking easier and faster.

As per the NTA NEET UG exam advisory, students are allowed to wear religious items like kalwas, hijabs, turbans or similar items. But they have to make sure to report to exam centre to go through extra checks.

Students are advised to wear simple, comfortable and light clothing.
Even though short-sleeved clothes are recommended, NTA allows a full-sleeved dress or woolen dress if required, but make sure to report it earlier to go through frisking.
Your footwear should be low-heeled; if you wear high-heeled footwear, you might have to go through extra checking during frisking.
You can carry a transparent bottle inside the exam hall and you can also carry a transparent pouch for the admit card in case of rain.

As per the NTA NEET UG exam advisory for biometric verification, every candidate must go through biometric verification either via facial recognition or fingerprint.

In case the Biometric fails due to hardware failure, connectivity issues or for some other reasons, you will still be able to sit for the exam. However, you will have to sign the undertaking form in the exam.

If you refuse to go through biometric verification without any valid documented reason, it will be treated as a violation of the exam norms.
You will not be disturbed during the entire duration of the exam; all the formalities due will be continued after you complete the exam.

Exam Day Instructions and Tips From NTA NEET UG Exam Advisory

NTA advises students to report earlier to go through thorough frisking. Don’t forget to carry your printed admit card with your photo pasted and a valid photo-ID to the exam centre.

A user on the r/MEDICOreTards thread on Reddit explains the changes made by NTA for the re-exam of the NEET 2026. This year, students need to carry 2 passport-sized photos to the exam center; earlier, ‌only 1 photo was required. So, don’t forget to carry 2 passport-sized photos to the exam.

This time, NTA has also given extra space within the margin to do the rough work during the exam.
