The Re-exam was organized just a day after the CBI took charges of the case connected to the NEET UG exam 2024. An FIR was filed by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan- cabinet minister for Education amidst the protests that shook the country after the NEET UG Result on June 4. While 67 candidates bagged AIR 1 with 720/720 marks, an unprecedented 1563 candidates were awarded grace marks due to “loss of time”; together questioning the authenticity of this examination and the role of the National Testing Agency.

When is the NEET Re-exam result?

The results for NEET Re-exams 2024 will be officially released by NTA on June 30. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to check the result by logging on to the website of the National Testing Agency at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET .

What will happen to students who did not appear for the re-test?

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Education after considering the order of the Supreme Court, 750 eligible students who chose not to appear for the examination will be evaluated considering their original score minus the grace marks awarded for the NEET UG Examination 2024. Revised scores will be considered only for those 813 candidates who appeared for the test.

What is the latest with the NEET UG 2024?

While NTA is done with the NEET Re-exam that was held on June 23 from 2 pm to 5.30 pm, the Ministry of Education has shunted out Subodh Singh who is chairing as the NTA Director General, handed over the case to CBI and has set up a 7 member reform panel headed by the former ISRO Chairman K.Radhakrishnan. The committee will consider all the matters related to the NEET controversy and submit its report in the next two months.

Will there be any impact on the Counselling Process?

As of now, the Supreme Court has assured students that NEET counselling scheduled for July 6 will be conducted accordingly obeying all rules and regulations. Students eligible can take part in the counselling process and proceed with admission.
