NEET Counselling 2024 registration begins on August 14 and will continue until August 20, 2024. The schedule is declared by MCC on the official website https://mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling. There will be four rounds of counselling including the Mop-Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round.
To participate in this counselling you should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects. You should have also passed NEET 2024 for this counselling. You can get admitted to MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing courses through this counselling. The total number of MBBS & BDS seats in India is 109,048 and 26,773 respectively.

NEET Counselling Procedures
To participate in the counselling process you need to register online to the official website. You have to pay the registration fee along with a security deposit. You need to select your choices from the provided list. You can change your choices within specified time and lock your final choices.
Based on your merit, choices and availability of seats you will be allotted seats. After the seat allotment you will have to report to the institution with required documents and admission fees.
NEET counselling Eligibility
You are eligible If you have passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent in any recognised university with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects. You must have obtained 50% (40% for reserved category) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. You must have qualified NEET 2024. Minimum age must be 17 years but there is no upper age limit.
NEET counselling Registration Fee
The registration fee is not refundable under any circumstances. The security deposit that you will pay at the time of registration is refundable.

Stray Vacancy Round in NEET Counselling
Stray vacancy round is conducted for students who do not get any seats in any round of counselling. Through this round you can get a seat in your desired college.

Seats are available under various quotas such as All India Quota Seats, State Government Quota Seats, Central Institution or Universities or Deemed Universities. After getting seats you can finalise the seat and may not continue the counselling process. However, If you get a seat in the first round but still want to participate in the second round then you can do it. In that case you have to take the latest seat. Your previous seat will be vacant and will be given to another eligible candidate. Seats will be added in each round of counselling. After the two rounds of counselling Mop-up round will be conducted to fill the vacant seats.
