IIM Jammu is a new entrant among new generation IIMs established in 2016 by the Government of India. IIM Jammu offers varied degree programs under Executive, Postgraduate, Doctoral and Faculty Development categories. To ensure unbiased learning irrespective of low finance, IIM Jammu provides Scholarship Schemes to meritorious students.

IIM Jammu Merit-Based Scholarships for EWS
According to recent media reports such as TOI Education and Daily Excelsior, IIM Jammu has initiated to provide 20 Scholarships to the meritorious students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
The initiative to provide such scholarships has been taken under IIM Jammu Students Exchange Programme (SEP).
IIM Jammu scholarship amount for EWS students under SEP is estimated to be worth INR 1.5 lakhs per student.
IIM Jammu Fellowships for Doctoral Programs
IIM Jammu offers fellowships to full time Research Scholars. The fellowship programmes at IIM Jammu covers the majority of academic expenses including tuition fee, computer, library, placement, and alumni fees along with living expenses (comprising boarding and lodging). A research scholar will be entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs. 45,000 per month (after commencement of the Programme). Additional allowances will also be available to the candidate.

- Carlsberg Foundation Internationalisation Fellowships 2023 is an international scholarship that provides full funding to eligible students.

The course fee for MBA HA&HM for the session 2022-2024 was Rs. 13,20,000 for two years, divided into six terms and an additional Rs. 20,000 must be paid at the time of admission. IIM Jammu provides merit cum need basis scholarships for students who apply for it, and the CGPA eligibility would be seven or greater.

The annual fee is 1000000. Based on your performance and need, there's a scholarship. For the fee structure, the first 3 years, BBA cost approximately 20 lakhs where as the two year MBA will follow the same feel structure as existing MBA core batch.

Fees will be around 3 lakhs per term. The overall fees is 17.5 lakhs. This year has gone up. Scholarships are also available for reserved students and for those who can manage the higher CGPAs. So, external government schemes are also available you will be guided by the staff members for that.

The tuition fee is as given on the official IIM Jammu website and does not change. The cost of education may seem high however it is the cost of an IIM degree. Scholarships are available to the students which are directly handled by the IPM Office. No campus employment is there.

Campus ensures 100%placements and multiple internship opportunities to build our resume. The fees is adequate for an IIM. There are scholarship mails floated every now and then based on different state policies and reservations.

- Mess Food, as the quality of the food is not upto the mark and sometimes insects are also found in the meal.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The total College fees of IIM Jammu is 1715000 which includes the hostel fee. The mess fee is not included in the college fees and has to be paid on the monthly basis to the mess vendor. The mess fees is around 7500 per month other than that there is no addition fee except the personal expense of the student. I have limited knowledge about the scholarship provided by the IIM Jammu as they havent shared any knowledge about it.

- Still the college is in development, so there are teething issues. A lot of construction is going on so there is lot of dust in the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
When I joind IIM Jammu (2023-2025), the course fees was 1725000 for two years. This fees includes all the expenses ranging from Tuition fees, Hostel Fees, Books fees, and other academic/non academic fees. But this fees has been increased and for the 2024-2026 bacth this fees has been raised to 1885000. So the fees has increased by around 9.27%. The increase is big in my opinion. IIM Jammu offers stipend to reseacrh sscholar which is 45000 per month. Additional allowances are also given to research scholars like Contingency allowance (40000 per year), purcahse of laptop (50000 one time allowance), and for attending national and international allowances (upto 200000). IIM Jammu offers campus placements for students. Students also have to do internship after the first year ends which is called the Summer Internship Placements (SIP). Currently I am pursuing SIP in Collegedunia which has offered me Management Trainee role in the Sales Department.

- Infrastructure is also good being the new IIM ,the construction is commendable.The campus is wonderful.

- The location is far from the city so this is a hinderance as sometimes we have to travel alot for shopping & romaning here & there.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions:
The total course fee for MBA for 2 years is 17,50,000.This comprises of both tution fee as well as the hostel fee.The mess fee is excluded but it's affordable.There is scholarship for reserved category as well as general category students based on need & merit based,which can be availed after joining the college.Certain scholarships are conveyed from the college side to the students who are performing well in the college.Students can also avail loan if they face any difficulty regarding fees.

Fees are very high, however, they can be reduced given that we still have to live in transit campus and we do not have AC in our room in summer it gets very hot and during winters we are not allowed to have a heater in our room and it gets really cold in nights.

A student from my college has been selected in IIM Jammu for an MBA program. He can't afford the fee. What are his options?
There are various options available for students who get selected in top Indian institutions like IITs and IIMs. IIMs offer scholarships, cash prizes during competitions, and other financial benefits to the students. I can tell you about the student loan that I secured from the bank to complete my education at IIM Indore.
Banks willingly provide education loans at low-interest rates to meritorious students of IIMs because of the credibility of IIMs and the good earning prospect of the students. There are a few requirements for securing the loan-
- The student must produce their original passport before the bank to prove their Indian citizenship. This is because banks, and particularly public sector banks do not fund the education of foreign students.
- The banks also check the Cibil score of all loan applicants. This needs to be a minimum of 700 if not 750 or more.
- Other than the applicant, there must be a co-applicant. The co-applicant must be in service or must run a business. They must earn a minimum specified amount acceptable to the bank.
For other options like scholarships and financial assistance, the student should consider contacting the IIM Jammu office and explaining his situation. Even philanthropic institutions can be of help to him.

There is no official ranking which decide that which Baby IIM is best. However, on the basis of Placements, IIM Amritsar has bagged the highest median package followed by IIM Bodhgaya and IIM Vishakapatnam. IIM received 12 lacs per annum as median package
