The worst decision of life

Likes

The natural environment was good and soothing
The college campus is very good for mind relaxing

Dislikes

The faculty members wasn't good and responsive
The laboratories wasn't good and maintained
The college building isn't good and clean it's kind of dirty

Course Curriculum Overview:

As it was a private college but also was affiliated with an government University so the curriculum was and the syllabus as it's shown in the university portal it's very good. The syllabus was good the subjects are very good. But the teaching methods in the college is worse and unprofessional.

A modest college experience

Likes

While the skilled teachers provide guidance and support
It is a good place for academic and group
The excellent laboratory facilities inspire innovation

Dislikes

Believe me studying under makaut is the worst
College washroom verd bad, and washroom mirror broken
College payment facilities is unsupported

Why GCECT stands out: My Perspective

Likes

The college have less number of students in total so the senior-junior bonding is very strong, providing a homely environment.
Both the teaching and non-teaching stuffs are quite good and supportive. The college also arrange those teaching stuffs as mentors, 5-6 students per mentor. Girl students are particularly provided with female teachers as mentors.
The college also have various active clubs like - Robotics, photography, drama, music, sports, astronomy etc.

Dislikes

The campus is full of greenery but little bit small.
The infrastructures are not that developed, like some projectors & computers are non functional.
The college have only three branches in B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

The average placement of my college 4-4.5 lpa. In CSE branch 70-75 % students gets oncampus placement.Some students go for offcampus placement, others go for GATE examination and government examinations.

The campus area is big and very beautiful
The teachers are good and well qualified
The college is near to Ghughumari and very easy to find transport

Dislikes

There are no daily classes takes place.
There are less teachers to take classes on daily basis
College canteen is closed not running on daily basis

From 3 rd year student are eligible for campus placement. There are many companies visits this college like LNT, TCS, JINDAL etc. 90%students placed for cse department. But for core department like mechanical there are not so good placements.

Fee Structure of this college is Affordable.
Autonomous College,College Teachers sets the question paper.
Sports, Gym, Library Facility is available.

Dislikes

Campus and the Playground of the college is small.
Less On Campus Placement Opportunity For CSE and IT Students.
Canteen is available but not opened from 3 months.

Placement Experience:

In Ceramic Technology department everyone gets placed. Placement percentage for Ceramic Technology is 100%. But for the Computer Science and Engineering & Information Technology department nearly no on campus placement you have to go off campus for placement. For the average and highest package i have not sufficient data.

Likes

Good infrastructure with big campus area and teachers are so humble and well desipline
Alloted separate 1st year hostels in 1k distance from college campus
Boys and Girls ratio is 6.5:3.5 and Girls have alloted separate hostels

Dislikes

75% attendance is mendetory this is so boring
College have specific dress code this is disgusting
Ragging is the big problem in my collage

Hm! In my collage under maulana abul Kalam azad University so very old syllabus which is not required in the growing world but my collage have specialization courses like AI-ML, DATA SCIENCE. Collage timings for classes is good.

Campus is very beautiful and Greenery is maintained
Cheaper than other engineering college and affordable
Security and anti ragging atmosphere so ragging is a punishable offence here

Dislikes

Classroom are outdated and old fashioned
No wifi connection and internet is really slow
Not having proper clubs and hackathon in the college

Placement Experience:

You can apply for internship from 3rd year . The highest package was 8 lakh per annum but average package is just 4lakh or less. The percentage of students getting the placement is 60 percent. If you work hard , you will crack the placement

A little bit about BIT (Bengal institute of technology)

Likes

The college environment is good and friendly which is the main thing .
The college building are divided into different sector which is nice.
The faculty members are very helpful and understanding and very friendly to all students .

Dislikes

The canteen food is up to the marked as it's can be improved more.

Placement Experience:

The college provide nice placements from different high tech companies during the placement period . This year highest placement package was of 24 Lakhs Per Annum. And the average placement package was varing from Rs 6 Lakhs Per Annum to 10 Lakhs Per Annum.

NSEC Review

Likes

The professors are highly educated and very helpful.
The college fees is relatively lesser than other private colleges.
The boys:girls ratio is quite good, respect to other engineering colleges.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small. It covers only 4 acres of land.
Departments like civil,mechanical and electrical are not good in Nsec. They don't have the proper faculty and infrastructure for these departments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is average. Each semester lasts for 6 months. After every 4 months Cas are conducted and in the 6th month the end semester exam is conducted. The exam difficulty is not very difficult. Anyone can score above 8 gpa. People should try to score 9+ in practical exams because they are easy to score and also increases the cgpa.
