The students become eligible for placements around the 6th or 7th semester. The T&P cell run by students works dedicatedly for placements. The overall placement percentage is 85 to 90 percent since many students opt for higher studies. The overall highest package was 65 lakhs this year and the median salary was above 8 lakhs. Major companies include Airbus, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, Adobe, Google, Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz and much more. After getting my degree, I aim for MS/MBA studies preferably in foreign universities through GRE.

Jadavpur University's placements are one of the main reasons why students want to take admission here. It is one of the best in the country. The placement percentage is nearly always 95 to 100 percent. And the packages received is just great. Companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft and many many more come and hire students. Only one exam have to be cracked for admission in UG course, that is WBJEE. The top ranked students upto 3000( for general gmr) can get a opportunity to get into JU.

It ranked 5th in NIRF 2020 university ranking and 600-700 in QS world ranking 2020.Seniors in our university are very friendly with juniors.They always guide us and help us whenever we,the juniors face trouble.Seniors also encourage us to take part in various cocurricular activities.Apart from academics study we have science fest SRIJAN and cultural fest SANSKRITI organised every year where students are given opportunity to showcase their talent in singing,science, dancing etc.Professors in our college are also very friendly and their industrial and research experience help us lot in knowing about the professional world.Alumni network of our university is also strong and they sometimes help us in getting job in reputeted company. Our power engineering department is one of the best department. In our department we learn about renewable energy and its uses along with some other engineering topics required to become power plant engineer.Our department is also best for anyone who want to make their career in research field. Getting opportunity to study in Jadavpur university is tough so I would not to miss the opportunity.

Jadavpur University is a top college in India to study engineering. Students get all the opportunities and facilities to study and grow. It has great placements every year. It also has very low fees compared to other top engineering colleges.

Jadavpur University is one of the premier institutes in India. Presently it has NIRF ranking 17th for Engineering. Jadavpur University offers one of the best placements scenario over India. Moreover the University being in the same city as mine, daily commutation is easy. Not the mention the wide campus with lot to greenary to enjoy.
