- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

students become eligible for placement form their 4th year. in 3rd year we have internship season though. many top companies do visit our campus starting with Google, Microsoft, Amazon, bcg, Morgan Stanley etc. highest package goes to 2-3 CRS and avg will be around 30lpa

- Campus of IIT - KGP is literally insane. IIT KGP has the largest campus with 2200 acres any college Indian ever has.

- Nothing, i like everything about this college.
Placement Experience:
Generally from the third semester students are eligible for campus placements. Students with a good CGPA have the high chance of getting placed very easily with a very good package and after getting degree they can do whatever they want.

- IIT KHARAGPUR has a wonderful campus spread out in around 2100 acres.
- The night life is very soothing and enjoyable
- It is the largest and oldest IIT, so in culture it stands on tops as always.
Dislikes
- There's nothing much to dislike other than if you don't like bengli food.
Placement Experience:
Well if you are skilled, the chances of placements are among highest compared to any other institute. Highest placement ranges in 1-2 crores while it also lowers upto 12-15 lakh per annum. Chances are fairly good you'd be placed if registered.

- The campus is really big and has a lot of entertainment things to do
- We get to explore a lot of different fields and can get guidance from seniors as well as alumni
Dislikes
- Outside the campus there is not much to do cuz its in the outskirts of bengal
- The rooms of old hostels are really small and the food is not that great
- Long hourse of classes and labs due to which we get really tired

The placements record is good of our college, in 4rth year student are eligible for placements , all the major giants visit the campus like Google, Microsoft, Facebook,jp Morgan, Goldman Sachs and qualcomn

- Firstly I would love to start with the greenery of this beautiful campus, you can find big trees everywhere here and there.
Dislikes
- Everything is okay here at IIT kharagpur.. only thing is that college is a big away from city
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose mining engineering because I love this profession as it is composed of very interesting challanges everyday.
curriculum covers almost everything that a students needs to learn and implement it in the field

- Great socult culture, the socult societies are well developed and structured like a professional groups
- Amazing fest, especially if you are a part of organising team, you get a lot of exposures and experience
- Amazing hall culture, elections and illu of kgp are once in a life time experience
Dislikes
- It is very much disconnected with any city
Placement Experience:
The campus placement is offered by CDC. After completing 2 years you get to sit in CDC interviews for internships, all the top companies for example google, BCG, McKinskey, and may others visits the college. And after 7th semesters you get to sit for placements. The highest packages goes around 2Cr. You opt for any profile SDE, data, consulting, product. I plan to get placed in product management after my degree.

- Huge Campus Size - It's a benefit to have such a huge campus we can find everything within the campus.

- Placement Opportunities - Day by day it is decreasing
- Mess food - It is okay but as a vegetarian I was a little less convinced.
Placement Experience:
The placement of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is pretty good but it depends on which course you are pursuing, some course offers really good packages which some doesn't. We all know why CSE, MnC, ECE, EE are popular courses.

- Environment is very calm and green. Everytime youfeel lonely environment is your all time partner.
- Seniors are amazing. They are really helping in nature. You always have a person to discuss and get solutions for your problems
- There are so many societies that you have opportunity to follow your interest whatever it is. The culture is very good that you get seniors assistance as well as inspiration to make something of your own.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the TAs are little partial to someone of same cultural background. That's disturbing sometimes. But with time you are smart enough to manage such small problems.
- The culture is sometimes toxic to students particularly during elections. During Hall days organized during elections there is so much of alchohol intake.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placement in the fourth year. There are so many companies visiting every year and about 60-70 percent of students get placed as there are many students who pursue higher studies or prepare for government jobs. The highest package offered during the 2023-24 session was approximately 2 crores and the average package is 25 lacs. My plan after the degree is to sit for a quantitative finance placement.

- I like my Hall of residence Nehru Hall where we perform many activities
- I like the socs cell culture of IIT Kharagpur

- I dont like the huge campus area and Nalanda
- I hate to cycle for 10-10 kms everyday in campus
- I dont like some professors who give very less grades
Placement Experience:
Placements are good but you have to put a lot of efforts during the time of recession. Thus is the worst phase of the college life where you become stressed, selfish, and nervous. This is the tough scenario to get high packages.

- 75 percent attendance criteria is very bad.
- Faculty are top notch. But, they lag somewhere in teaching
- Distance between class and hostel is very large.
Placement Experience:
My college placement is really good. Most of us will get their placement in college. If someone think he deserves better than college placement. Then, he apply for off-campus placement. Approx 80-90% are getting their job in college.
