While counselling I got this college along with all the other IITs except Delhi and Bombay. My decision for choosing this college was its presence in the country for so long time making it the oldest IIT giving it huge reputation and opening a wide range of opportunities of all kind. People here can pursue a profession completely different from their dream, can build start-ups and even go for reasearch. The placement statistics also speak of its magnanimity with an average package of ?2400000 p.a.. People also build a network with people of diffent states, ethinicity, language, etc. that heps even beyond the world of study,money and placements.
